KitPvP

Just a thought for the future of KitPvP. Before I was blacklisted it was not as bad, but when it became known people began abusing and creating macros to use the wellknown "gapping while running" mechanic. I believe it would be almost impossible to have an anticheat catch this, however I believe staff should allow players to report and record people using and doing this glitch, and it should result in some sort of punishment. I believe this because this glitch is incredibly gamebreaking. You are able to gain health almost 3x as fast, as it eats quicker than actually eating a crapple, AND you do not have to stop moving in order to eat said crapple. This is extremely hard to manuver around as the player can just run in circles and continue to heal, and bowboosting does not stop this due to when bowboosting towards the opponent eating the crapple, they can simple turn around and continue to run and spam crapples. Let me know your thoughts in the replies!
Agreed

couldn't someone consider this a PVP mechanic? And let's say we do consider this a PVP mechanic, if we disallow this, should we disallow other mechanics such a W Tapping, clicking methods, and bow boosting?
doesnt make sense, clicking methods like drag/bawl clicking are already banned, w tapping is literally just moving in a different way, and bow boosting is a normal minecraft mechanic, hitting yourself with arrows is a feature, not a glitch. but running while eating was never meant to be in the game. and bow boosting is easy with any ping, its just different timing, while running when eating is basically impossible for 200ms+ players. some people even started using macros to run while eating because they're obviously shit at doing it.
also, if you're not gonna make it bannable more people will start using macros and get away with it making this situation even worse

Let me offer a counter-argument then.

Considering this glitch takes some genuine skill to pull off consistently, couldn't someone consider this a PVP mechanic? And let's say we do consider this a PVP mechanic, if we disallow this, should we disallow other mechanics such a W Tapping, clicking methods, and bow boosting? These are all mechanics that take skill to pull off to give you an advantage. Would you have us ban people for those? And to make the counter-argument for macroing, you could macro to achieve any of the mechanics I've mentioned, so what in reality, is so different about grappling while running?

Of course, I am not saying to utilize macros, and if there is evidence of a player using a macro to achieve any mechanic, they will be punished. But in all honestly, this could be argued as just another strategy discovered that other players will eventually learn, and adapt to.
So why did Hypixel ban F3 + Sing? I mean its a vanilla minecraft thing right?

I can do it easily just refuse to because its gamebreaking / unfair. hope to see it reportable / punishable :D
oh man if you're going to suggest take away crapple run because it's gamebreaking, take away insta 2d too lol, that shit does 5hearts per on prot 1

you fool, insta 2 is part of the game while crapple running is a vanilla bug that is being abused very hard and people making macros

yea it's part of the game, so is this crapple run although it's not intended. Nonetheless, insta 2 damage is still more gamebreaking than a simple macro just for eating LOL, you guys cry about crapple run but not something that is given to you every 2 days, and 2 shots p1

How in the world is insta 2 gamebreaking??? The point of an insta damge pot is to do damage, which it does. But there isn't supposed to be glitch where you can run and eat. It's so annoying to 1v1 when a dude just walks backwards and starts eating and running towards you. Or people just start running in circles and the glitch makes them heal so fast so you can't get them low. That's not how the game should be played.

But you have to consider that this isn’t like a normal pvp tactic, this BREAKS the game entirely. This is an exploit, it isn’t a fair thing to use because it makes getting kills practically impossible. The only people that I see defending this so far, are people that use this frequently and even they know that it’s unfair. All I’ve been seeing from both parties is mainly biased responses. I’m going to ask around in other communities where this isn’t an issue and see what they think. I understand that this could be seen as a strategy, but if this is a strategy that legit makes the game extremely unfun, is an exploit, makes killing people that use it almost impossible, and will ruin the economy because people aren’t losing armor, or getting kills. The player base will melt away. I personally get burnt out all the time on kit when I drop down and get 10v1ed by irons that use this. Please listen to the community on this one, make it punishable.

overall i have mixed opinions about this as it is in normal minecraft, but isn't something easily replicated under certain conditions of the player. I understand why you feel this should be disallowed, but I also understand why people think it should be allowed. After playing with it for a while, it changes fights. I don't even really consider this a mechanic, its a glitch, and i do feel the majority of the community would prefer if this was removed.
