Can someone please tell me why this happens?
I am not sure if I should make a bug report, because maybe I am doing something wrong here.
I just don't get why the pistons don't destroy some of the melons. They make the little smoke particles like a dispenser instead.

When I tested without melons, all pistons worked.
 
looks like there's misplaced Redstone in the areas the pistons don't move. I would look to see if Redstone dust is placed throughout each layer.
 
Its because of the low TPS (or Ticks Per Second). A normal minecraft server or singleplayer game would run at a solid 20 TPS. Skyblock runs at just 10-15 tps usually from 10AM-8PM EST and goes back up to 15-19 during the night when there are less players on. The reason for low TPS is because the server hosing isnt powerful enough to run all the farms and players on the server. TPS effects redstone the most, and during lag spikes can mess up pistons, redstone, redstone torches, repeaters, ect.

Fortunately, tomorrow survival will reset and the playlerbase will be way lower here, which will increase TPS and fix many redstone/farm issues.

No, the redstone is fine.

This is probably it. When I logged in this morning after afking overnight, all the melons that weren't being destroyed were gone. Thank you :)

could be:
missed redstone(high posibilty)
chunks dont load(very low posibilty)
server lag(normal posibility)

maybe cause that shit so laggy it doesnt work? lol
