Misconceptions you had when you first started Minecraft/Invaded

When I first joined invaded I saw everybody saying "lmao" I didn't know what it meant, but to me, it looked like they were saying "lameo" So if anybody said lmao to something I said I would ask why are you calling me lame ._.

when i first joinned like a month in i saw somethin called ''Harcore'' i clicked it made a house and tamed a dog
i died and couldn't find the respawn button the dog is still there and i haven't logged on since 2015 and i deleted the world and i still remember dogo poor dogo.

When I first played kit I joined 1v1 brackets and when I started to fight I just stood there. And my opponent just also stood there. Then I think it was apexeasabi when he was a mod he just splashed insta dmgs on us

uhm so i played bedwars and skywars a lot and i didnt know that shift-clicking was a thing so i literally mastered quickly dragging shit into my inventory.

What were some misconceptions or mistakes you had when you first started playing Minecraft and/or InvadedLands?

My dumbest was when I first got the game, I thought mobs and mods were the same thing, and when my friend talked about how he downloaded a mod, I told him that he could have just gone and found one, and he didn’t have to download it...

OH I REMEMBER ONE EPIC MISCONCEPTION
I didn't know what enchantments did, so I just threw random enchantments on stuff. I still have a sword with Luck of the sea I, Protection III, Loyalty III, Power II, Feather Falling III, Sharpness V, Unbreaking II, Sweeping Edge II, Looting I, Aqua Affinity, and Efficiency III. I thought enchantments like Luck of the sea would transfer their powers to the sword, so holding a protection sword would protect me better, and loyalty III would slingshot my sword back to me. I also have a Power II chestplate, and a blast prot II bow, among other stuff. I also thought you could enchant shields, and I thought you needed to enchant the actual arrows instead of the bow.

Another one I had, when I started playing, it was before redstone had been added to pocket edition, but tnt was added. But it was just a block and couldn't actually be lit yet in creative mode, since there was no flint and steel in the creative inv. I spent SO long trying to light tnt like youtubers did on java, but could not figure out how until they updated pocket edition with redstone and a better creative inventory

i got unbreaking 1 on a sword but then it started losing durability cause unbreaking doesnt make things never break and i was very confusion and thought it was borken
