What’s happening right now, is exactly what happens if you keep externally hiring someone for a management position on a uniquely cultured server like invaded. While externally hiring dev would work well, Management position should be hired internally thru promotion (like kvids) or appoint someone who has administrated/staff on invaded previously.
From what I’ve seen in the past months, they’re handing out manager rank like a candy because they are so desperate to fill the blank spot made by mega (don’t get me wrong, I do think those who were appointed were a good choice. but the fact that they don’t treat the new managers well shows that they’re not promoting them to make them managers, but to fill in the empty spot.). Back then I had my promotion to manager pushed back so much dispite doing vast majority of the customer support work that Mega was supposed to do, saying that “I’m not ready” which is funny because I was doing all the damn work.
I’ve been sugarcoating the fact that I was heavily ‘disrespected and mistreated’ (in a sense) dispite how hard I dedicated myself to the server because I had some form of misguided loyalty to this server. Yes that’s why I left this server to apply for Hypixel Helper, and yes this is conveniently gave mega a reason to deny me reinstating to admin, basically saying “you left us to apply for hypixel. you can’t be trusted”, which again, is funny because I left the damn server because of him. I didn’t want to confront him about it as well since everything on the server was decided essentially by him, and I didn’t want another enemy.
But to sum up, they need to really get their shit together and start treating their long-serving staff better, and put right people in the right position. If they can’t even keep their staff team together, how the hell are they going to get a loyal community??? What they need right now isn’t expansion of the staff team to cover up the fact that they’ve messed up. What they need right now is to have qualitative personnel in core positions.
