My Opinion on The Current State of Survival and Invaded

Survival may not be the largest playerbase, but it is still a playerbase nonetheless. No one likes this silence from management, and it is starting to feel like a lack of care from management. It does not apply just to survival, it applies to every server as well. Invaded has not been fulfilling a lot of the promises it has been making. Invaded has stated that they planned on adding features during seasons, but I don't recall times that has actually happened. Kit's reset post gave a list of stuff they were going to add during the season, yet none were added. Other reset posts have been vaguer, saying they were adding more features to keep it fresh, yet they still haven't added new features. All of the lack of updates to gamemodes, and now the lack of a reset is just building up to make it appear as management does not care. I am not saying management is lazy in any way, I feel invaded is a great server, but I really dislike the lack of knowledge we have received. I am not saying Invaded is dying, but the game modes are getting stale. Invaded needs to make resetting survival its priority. I'm sure they are busy with other stuff, like possibly new game modes or new features, but I believe they need to get their priorities straight. In combination with a seemingly inactive owner, a single dev, and managers who don't inform us on what is going on, it just doesn't seem like they are passionate about the server as the players. I am not a dev or anything, nor am I an expert in Minecraft servers, but the least they can do is explain why the reset is taking so long. If invaded had committed to their promises, and added new, refreshing content during the span of the season, along with resetting within the timeframe they estimate it takes, we probably wouldn't be in this position. It doesn't require coding knowledge or a massive amount of free time to just apologize for the lack of a reset and for the lack of updates, and give some explanation. I am not calling anyone lazy or bad at their job, I just feel management could do better at making the players more aware. If they can't reset yet, please, give us some knowledge of why. This is not at the fault of the mods or admins at all, the staff team is doing an amazing job. They are extremely active and passionate about the server, and it's very clear they enjoy it. I am sure that the managers are passionate about the server, but the lack of updates doesn't convince me of that. They really need to get another developer, Sxtanna is gone, he wasn't the best guy, but I'm sure they can find someone else, Neon has xeon, mmc and invaded all at once

I've read this post several times now (for the sake of my brain split it into more paragraphs next time!) and I'm not going to respond to individual bits of the original post or any replies. However I am responding here as not just a staff member but mainly a survival player.

I do believe management, as with the rest of the staff team, care for the server. I personally have a lot of respect for Mega & Neon in particular as they have been on Invaded for a long time now and although Minecraft is a fun hobby for most I can imagine at times it can be tiring to run a server such as this. For us as players if we want a two week break from the server we can take it, management don't get that break as issues can arise at any time on any given day of the year. I also don't believe it is fair to discuss their other commitments when quite frankly, you nor I have any idea in this regard.

In terms of going forward and communication, one of the reasons I applied for staff was to help provide another link between the staff team and the community in order for players to give their feedback and suggestions regarding the server. If you ever want to discuss anything regarding the server, especially as I am sure I have skipped over points made in this thread, then my DMs are always open both on here and on Discord.

Regarding reset I can't provide a date because quite frankly there isn't one, I can assure that the "delay" (there's never a guarantee it should take 6 months, it's just an average) isn't due to "forgetting" about it or "neglecting" survival and I can say that once the server reset is announced the hype will begin and we will all be able to look forward to a good season on survival.
