ngl I think the staff team and organization of InvadedLands needs to be rethought from the ground up. I understand that skeppy is having issues and doesn't really want to make content on InvadedLands, which can make sense, but the managers at least should be able to do something, which doesn't seem to be happening. As I already said in my previous thread I think the gamemodes are way too grindy, I'm sure that if Zackyyy and Kvids were managers together with Zelkam they'd be able to come up with something good. So far we've seen half promises of "maybe we'll do something soonish" but the most activity we saw was literally when affixes became manager unless I'm very mistaken and missed something big. I don't understand what could be going on behind the scenes that takes this long to get resolved, but even if Skeppy has had his own personal issues that's why there are managers. So this is what I think should happen.
1) Reinstate Zackyyy and Kvids as managers (if they want). There is no denying they are very competent (although zack you still haven't realived Zack's Server pls do).
2) Add events (spleef, sumo, 4 corners, parkour race...), not just the ones that players and staff can host whenever, but actual ones that are announced. Maybe they could even give out in-game rewards (surely that's not against the EULA or anything of the sort, I hope not anyway).
3) Add incentives for YouTubers and streamers, even smaller ones (1k+, I don't think 10k+ is realistic), and give bigger youtubers who are willing to make more regular content on Invaded power to request an event and have it be announced (like with Skeppy events, but with small youtubers instead. Since smaller youtubers can't do events like the Skeppy ones, events like Spleef or Sumo that only require plugins to work are good).
4) Maybe do a big reset with all three gamemodes? Or split them up, but give to each some special content, not just the usual refresh. As I talked about in the previous thread, gamemodes are a bit too grind oriented.
5) Reinstate IPC with proper staff communication and feedback. You can even use trello to communicate, in case you don't wanna use DMs and messages to write "denied because no" or "accepted".
6) This may need some planning and it's just a rough idea I'm throwing out here: chat games (like quick math, unscramble etc) and if you get it first you get some points, second you get some less, and so on, and there are monthly leaderboards where the top scorers get in-game rewards like money?
7) Better player communication. Often announcements contain stuff like "your feedback is valuable to us" "we're working on fixing some things you guys didn't like" but we get little clarification beyond that. Maybe an audit log that contains information such as "added this to duels" "changed knockback for this reason" "nerfed this for this reason".
8) Undo the damage Affixes made.
9) This might be too resource intensive, but having a beta test server where only some beta testers get access and they check out the new stuff could be interesting. The problem is people leaking the new stuff, so maybe do what Hypixel does and just open the beta to everyone, warning that the stats will be reset? This allows for feedback before even the previous season ends, so as to not royally screw up new seasons and have a screwed up gamemode for 6 to 9 more months.
this is probably pointless but I don't care. I hope a staff reads this and gives their input. It's a bit strange that there has been only noise and nothing happening for months now. The player count is just gonna slowly but constantly go down like this. I miss having nice and fun groups of friends on survival, I miss the og group we had. I can't get that back, but we can get new nice people and new things to do on Invaded.
