my squid spawners arent working

ok so i spent 22,400,000$ on 64 squid spawners off /shop. but they arent working, i tried with and without light. now i am forced to only have lolerfish in my swimming pool, this is very sad and please someone help with this devestation.

i spent 150 million on bee spawn eggs and they all died of entity cramming

Have you tried placing the squid spawners between Y-level 50 to Y-level 63 (inclusive)? You may also need to place the spawners in a river or ocean biome for them to work.

the main reason people use spawners is so you can spawn things easily with little to no effort, what you are saying, that's just stupid because i made the spawners to look good with my design and have squids in my pool. It feels so dumb to go to y50-63 and go to a specific biome for just a squid spawner to work :/

This is due to minecraft spawning mechanics, squids are one of those mobs that have specific spawning conditions. Generally, spawners are used to create farms which is why keeping the spawning conditions for mobs like squids makes sense.
