imma be honest, and i dont mean to discourage you in anyway.

that is literally just something anyone can draw on paint in like 5 minutes. sometimes, u have to be a lot more simple, or have a base. by no means am i good at art but i made this in like 5m and imo it looks a little better than urs

you could literally make the logo anything other than that and it would be better by 100x
 
@Ilikedoritos from a beginner artist to another, I have some tips for you
1: use a program that lets you make lines, instead of drawing with your mouse
and if you're not drawing with your mouse, I'm not sure if your hand is shaky or something, but still, use a program that lets you make lines
2: when making alt. logos, try using the original image, i'm not sure what user @ZVoltage did, (actually voltage just curious how did you do that anyway) but try doing more of a recoloring than complete redesign, and stick with the original logo's style

edit: how do you get rid of the orange pixels- i was testing this out (haha i was testing) and as usual orange lines ruin my life
