New Rank/Tag Proposition - “Helper”

The helper rank can be a rank with a tag that has no extra perms, the only purpose is to have an outlet for newer players to ask questions.

I see countless default ranks saying “how do I get armor” or “how do I leave the event.” Very few players reach out to help them. If there were some kind of indication to these newer players about who to go to with their inquiries then they wouldn’t spam the chat with how to... messages.

The rank could be administered by moderators to players that they see are very helpful and attentive in chat.

For me though, if I were to receive the Helper rank, I would still like to play the game as usual. It is not intended to be a full time position like a mod.

There could be 15-25 in total to ensure that there are a couple online as often as possible.

Good idea, but that would make it so people would have to apply to get helper because you cant just give them a rank. this though is a good idea.

Yeah i'ma have to disagree with you, people will mini mod their brains out to get the tag.

There was already a helper rank but this is kind of different, suggest to the player council
 
This could be a good idea if it's implemented correctly. I like the idea of having a helper rank, but it would be quite difficult to choose the right candidates because there is just not enough time to give each person an interview and training. This may not seem important, but if a player is given a Helper rank and they go around breaking rules and possibly giving false information, that could badly portray the server and it's staff team. They would need proper training so that they can adequately serve as role models and actual Helpers.

Great Idea, just need to find a way to train them and everything. More or less just asking for server chat-mods, you can suggest it to the player council.

It was suggested and denied because the management doesn't look forward to adding another "rank" or "tag" or whatever, if you wanna be helpful you can be helpful you don't need a special tag to be recognized that only you can help.

yeah but anyone can help them, you don't need a tag to help someone, but I guess this could be a good idea.
 
Sounds like a cool idea, but people would apply for that position only for fame and attention
If they really wanted to help out the new players, they wouldn't need a rank to do so
