minecraft is legit owned by microsoft which is a multip billion dollar company multipe servers have gotten thousand if not millions of money from people that play these servers but by some chance they do have purely cosmetics microsoft funna have a problem with all these rich ass 12 year olds sueing them i aint sayin you shouldnt spend money on the game cause then im a hypocrite but im just saying its a lil bit entertaining and that microsoft is a billion dollar company getting mad about people making a living on a game its called being an entrepreneur just with a bit of a headstart all im saying is people should be able to spend money on servers its gay that they trippin about this now

this has been an issue since 2014, please do ur research before making threads like these
plus they're completely fine with people making money off of servers, just donations or buying purely cosmetic things, hypixel is an eula compliant network and they're thriving so obviously others can too. They're trying to eliminate pay to win which is a good thing stop crying about it
I wouldn't say "thriving". Hypixel struggled a lot back in 2014, and still to this day makes far less income compared to other games or other sectors in the gaming industry. According to Simon's own words, when a friend from another sector of the gaming industry saw what Hypixel was making, he commented on how the income was very low.
