It's unnecessary and it doesn't really have a use or purpose.
The water get's very annoying as if you get stuck in it someone can keep you there by just bowing you into the corner.
People escape 1v1's by bow boosting on top of the house which makes it harder to have a normal 1v1.
I'm sure there are other reasons, these are just the ones that I thought of.
