it would ruin pvp (since people pvping for real apparently exists on skyblock? i know it exists but didnt know it was actively used LOL)
just learn from your mistakes and be more careful so you don't fall off the island or die

casey is right there is a pvp part on skyblock at spawn (the hole)
and yes it does suck when you lose all your items. Try to store them in your private vault (command /pv 1) and in enderchests
