May I ask, coming from someone that actually does put time and effort into the forums and the responses I make, PLEASE relax the post boosting. Looking through the last forums you can see that being a "Well-Known" rank was actually cherished, now people are putting shame onto the name. I am speaking for not just the people who necro-post, but the people who spam likes to people. Completely unnecessary and some people are getting accused of post-boosting for this, when they don't even ask for it. Being "Well-Known" isn't all that and it doesn't give you any advantage. Someone messaged me saying they like me compared to the other Well-Known's because "I don't post-boost" and they were referring to @Insted like boosting them, which he has to me too. It's annoying. It's bound to happen, yes. The issue is, it's INTENTIONALLY happening with SEVERAL people.I see the same 5 people comment on every thread that comes out with two/three word sentences that are meaningless and no use to the person posting their thread. This is supposed to be a place of help, not fame.
No one will probably pay attention to this as it is coming from someone who isn't actually staff, but I can assure you I know enough to say it is annoying to see threads named "A" and people commenting "poop" or "pp" or "no" or "oh" to get a message under their belt or that one like, and I could honestly go on all day, we have all seen these threads already before. It's stupid, pointless, and staff are just instantly going to delete them. It's sad to look at InvadedLands forums compared to some other forums out there, there is much more structure and respect for one another, regardless of your title. There is a clear lack of respect for one another when it comes to the ranks on forums. They DONT matter. I know you could say I have one and all that, but I really wasn't trying for mine. I just did what any active, helpful person SHOULD do on the forums and got the rank.
I say this as an eye-opener for the staff as well, as the amount of necro-posters is becoming bad. I actually like coming to the forums to help people, but recently it has been me pinging staff to get a lock on a post-booster, and then I am the one who looks like a post booster because my last 5 messages were saying "@Nicki - ?". When tickets re-open in the Player Council, I will be making a ticket for manually granting the Well-Known ranks to people who actually got it without boosting, and are only obtainable through staff approval, because half the people with Well-Known I have no clue who they are if I am being honest. There was like 3 alone that got Well-Known within the last week...
With this all being said, I would like to ask staff if this thread could be instantly locked, because I know the second this is posted and if you feel it is unnecessary to say any of this, feel free to delete the thread People are going to intentionally post-boost off it to be stupid, that's why I want this locked. Take this with a grain of salt for the people who are "Well-Known". I am not saying that you guys don't deserve it, I am saying maybe if there weren't people like spamming on you guys, we wouldn't have this issue. You guys know who you are.
