Why should people who are not straight, get a own month- but people who sacrifice their life everyday, only gets 1 day (Millitary etc etc btw) Should be changed. Why get a whole month just because of your sexuality? Just to spit it out; I don't have anything against people who got a different sexuality than me, but i still don't support pride month.

its just because homophobia is a problem at the moment. one that shouldn't be a problem in the first place. i think it should be to raise awareness and you know, get LGTBQIA+ people like myself to feel proud of who they are and educate others! military people are appreciated and very closely to me but it shouldnt be compared to pride month!!

May is military appreciation month, and November is military family month. Pride exists and it made into such a big deal because LGBTQ people have been and still are one of the most oppressed minorities in America. Having this celebration is needed so these people can be proud of who they are and band together with those who share the same struggles. If you support lgbt people I don’t see why you’d have any issues with pride month, it’s not like gay people are parading through your house.

The main difference between military people and lgbt people is that military people (for the most part) choose to risk their lives for their country, which very honorable, but it’s still a decision they make. Lgbt people on the other hand, are victim to discrimination, hate crimes, and unfair access to healthcare because of who they are. They don’t get a choice, but still suffer.

Yes, pride month is an official thing in America though( although it is unofficially celebrated elsewhere). Please do not compare military people to lgbt people.

Hi everyone. As you may know, June is pride month. This is a month for LGBTQ+ people to celebrate their history and be proud of who they are. I know that not everyone in this community is the most supportive in the world, but I want to help as much as I can. • May – National Military Appreciation Month.
• May – Month of the Military Caregiver.
• November – Military Family Month, Warrior Care Month.
