PVPLands merge questions - didgo

what are you plans to reduce skeppy stans spamming skeppy 14 in chat
bound to happen, either way we have set guidelines in place to prevent spam so it shouldn't really be an issue
@didgo what will happen to the staff team of pvplands? Will they join the Invaded staff team??
there was only 3 staff on pvplands (i was one of them) they won't be joining invaded's team.
will kitpvp stay the same? will we get disconnected every second? will overlord rank etc. stay same with kitpvp?
nothing changers with kitpvp aside from getting /giftcards if you have a rank on pvplands
how will this effect the other servers in terms of performance and lag
shouldn't be too much of an issue, back in april invaded peaked at 2.6k and the servers were holding up, and i'm sure we won't be seeing numbers like that this time around. to add i know they upgraded the machines running the server a while back so i'm sure it'll be good to support more players.

will people be only allowed to queue on the hubs, or will they be able to join other servers?
will the work skeppy be filtered to reduce spam?
the plan would be to eventually make it so that you can play while being queued, but the issue we ran into while brainstorming this is: being pulled out of combat when its your turn to join the event so therefore you lose gear and other things, any possible bugs that come along with it. so what i'm assuming is that for now, it's going to be queue only.

as for filtering certain words, if things get bad we will definitely explore doing so. i don't imagine it being too bad.
Idk if this has been answered but will the events be taking place on kit pvp or will they be taking place somewhere else ?
almost positive they will be on a separate proxy/server, but some may be hosted on kit every now and then.
Will you (and other staff) be able to host events for streams on the event servers?

will the command to join the queue be public or will we be told to join a certain hub to get tped into the event
(leaking the joinserver command was what caused 1k people to be afk on hubs, since before that we would just get a notification to go into a certain hub and we would be tped, making the spots 150 first come first serve, but after that anyone could queue and spend days queued in another hubs.)

What would the player count be like?

would kit be full with large queues again?

Would there be any necessary changes to the rules/filter due to this change?

What would happen to pvplands after the merge?

Is there a chance this could be good for the regular invaded players and the people coming from events, unlike last time?


Why would this change be added again after the full notice about what happened last time with events?

How will the event queue work (event a or something else)?

Would any rank on invaded determine queue placement just like the queues for each gamemode?

What would be added to the shop? would there be an events category in the shop? how much would passes cost?

Would there be any benefits to people who bought the pass on gamemodes?

What would happen if this ends as a big mess?

what would he tags be named?

Who would be able to host, how active the events would be hosted, could there be more rewards in the future ?
Very time dependent, around event time probably like 400 more players online? It's hard to tell but I doubt it'll be a huge boost like we haven't seen before

Kit is averaging 190-220 players during the day now, with 350 slots I doubt there will be a queue bigger than 40 players (keep in mind most wouldn't have ranks) so I don't think queue's will be an issue hopefully

PvPLands won't exist anymore, any ranks on there will be given Invaded store vouchers

Upsides to this are increased competition, more possibility for kitpvp based events, and greater player engagement

As stated in the merge thread, was hard to balance two servers and two staff teams, thought they'd give this another try

Essentially like event-a, but you can purchase a fast pass for it on invaded store

Actually not too sure about this, but if I had to guess, no your kitpvp, skyblock, or survival rank would give you better placement only the fast pass would.

Passes are outlined on pvplands website, it'll most likely be added to invadeds store shortly. won't go too indepth cause honestly idk if they are being changed or not, but you can buy different levels of fast past that work like invaded ranks do, overlord = diamond pass, lord = gold pass and etc, the higher the pass the higher in queue you are.

Competition would be very bad if kitpvp maxes out with nons, and the queue would be pretty bad like last time and since I'm non rank I will be crying in my corner for the 5mins it takes to join
