Repairing tools

Is there a way we can repair tools like sword and armour without needing a rank? Or do I just have to buy a new sword and max it out again?

theres no /repair command if thats what you mean. you can fix tools in an anvil if they have 2 or less enchants, but as soon as theres 3 enchants, theres no way to fix them.

you cant repair swords but you can get villagers to get the books to make the swords.
