Reselling Maparts

Ok, if you made or make a mapart, you're normally the first one to sell it or give free copies to people you trust, right?

mapartists really don't get enough credit, i know no one asked but it isn't fair that mapartists almost never get the profit they deserve after spending weeks on a single map for some people. the fact that when mapartists try to sell their maps for a very decent price and try to make profit off of it while people go off and resell the maparts for a lower price so they get the profit is totally unfair.

the other day i made a couple of maparts *yes self promo pls buy jayzz mapart*
i made a post about this not too long ago promoting my projects if you'd like to see them : )
but the other day i was nice enough to give ImaDom a couple of free copies, almost an hour later dom is promoting his mapart shop in chat, i ask him nicely to not resell my mapart, i kid you not this is what he said

"it's not your map.
it's mine"

honestly this type of bullshit is the type of shit most mapartists get and it isn't right, i spent weeks trying to make maparts that you guys wanted me to make, i grinded 10m just to make maparts and what do i get? nothing. very little to nothing. i made no profit off my maparts, yes some people bought my maparts but to see other people make profit off of my shit? i don't know man kinda sus

i apologize for making this thread as well as exposing ImaDom, i just really don't believe mapartists should deserve this type of bs from players.

edit : the only other person i will allow to sell my maparts is AKJenn *along with simp squad*

also i forgot a point. if u dont want to resell it thats impossible. even if that happened you will get less people to buy your products cuz tll be just a waste of money for them if they wont make profit. if you suprisingly got after disallowing reselling map arts. it willl be a donation.

first, some people don't put their name on the mapart after making it because (it's not like this for everyone but this is most cases i've seen) signatures on maparts are just plain annoying, my first mapart i made this season got griefed but before that they've removed my name to resell and shit,

second, it's because mapartists spend around 8m to make a higher detailed mapart and 1m+ in general making the mapart without getting any profit is the problem, yes, people bought my maparts which i'm happy about, i got to sell the maps i made before reselling which would give the resellers the profit and not the actual artist. and i cant read ur last point for shit so please rephrase.

Getting your work sold for an insanely cheap price is just a pain. I used to make banners on skyblock and sell them , but some kid took my art and sold them for 1/10 of my price and called my banners overpriced. Art makers should get respect, but sadly they usually don't.
