Reviewing System For Builder Applications

Also if Luke says "Oh to much work I am lazy person" give builders a forums role and perms to handle build apps
i agree with the main post, but i disagree with this. the skills it takes to be able to build and the skills it takes to decide who’s a good builder / worthy applicant are different.
8/12/22 edit: they should be able to deny for obvious reasons like not meeting requirements maybe but staff already handle troll applications quickly so

To be honest, I don't think it's the place for that, IL is a company and they have no interest in doing so. Most of the appeals are a troll, or they are just awful like fr, they will build a dirt house and expect to be chosen. But I think that with the few appeals which are actually being considered, they should do as you say.

Build Application Rant

This is about how you deny build apps, spoiler alert, it's awful.

The Current System Is Terrible

Right now, it's just your generic copy-paste that gives no actual reason why the person was denied. Posting your message provides the same insight as just saying "denied". It is honestly way too general and leaves many players confused about why they were denied. It is honestly extremely lazy. It is honestly disrespectful to the applicant, who probably spent a good amount of time on their app, to be hit with the same message everyone else gets. Build applications get the same copypaste. It is honestly frustrating that you can't spend a minute to give them feedback that will actually help people. Even the accepted applications get a copypaste. You couldn't even spend the time to write something original for even the applications you liked.

tl;dr: It is the same copy paste and provides no reason why the applicant was denied.

How I Feel It Can Be Improved

I feel it is 100% possible for you to spend the time and write feedback that will actually help the player like "Please improve on your structure builds.", or "Please work on your variety.". If that's too much work for you, which it doesn't seem like much, maybe stay on top of them. They often take about a month to be reviewed, just for the same message as everyone else. For example, denied staff applications get actual feedback on how applicants can improve. New build applications aren't even made that often. If you do them as soon as possible, it makes it very easy to have enough time to write good, helpful feedback.

tl;dr: write meaningful and original feedback

I really hope you decide to take my feedback and use it to improve how you review applications.

i agree but to be fair luke doesn't have like 9876546789098765 hours to do so
