the thing is, when i tried just taking fall damage without a rod, obviously i took allot of fall dmg, but when i tried rodding myself to reduce the fall damage, it worked, but still let me take fall damage, idk like without the rod i took 10 hearts (half a hearts), and when i tried rodding myself and landed it, i took 3 hearts of fall dmg (also half of
hearts)

Edit: I was in kitpvp gear
