As staff cannot punish scammers, this thread is useful to determine who is a scammer. Start by saying the IGN of the scammer, what they scammed you for and how they scammed you. This will spread awareness to players so they know if a deal being made by someone is fake.
I will start:
IGN: Bugra_Snow
SCAMMED FOR: $1.1million
METHOD USED: Bugra has multiple scam methods, one using a profit shop secretly hiding a sign that steals practically all your money, and another scam known as the "Play My Game". You are tasked to shoot and arrow into a button but instead it takes your money. After Bugra scams you, you get expelled from his/her island.

I Have some tips to avoid getting scammed:
1) Have a staff middle man if necessary.
2) If it's an irl deal (Requiring the other person to buy an item on the store for you), make sure they go first.
3) Use /trade for other deals
4) Don't buy stuff for paypal or anything irl other than invaded, because the deals cannot be monitored. Also, the scammers cannot be punished.

Posting for all the nons here:

  • REMEMBER: IRL DEALERS MUST GO FIRST! Meaning they have to buy you the rank first. If you see the rank or the tag that you bought on chat, then you can go ahead and give them the money. DO NOT pay them before they get you the rank or the tag. Also, DO NOT give them half the money before he buys you it and then give them the rest of the money after they buy you it.
  • If you're the IRL Dealer, and you bought the other person a rank or a tag, and they refuse to give you the in-game money, you can always report them, because that's IRL scamming, and they can be banned. ALWAYS record or screenshot for valid proof if you think they're suspicious. Or just record the whole way through.
  • Although in-game scamming is allowed, just be cautious around your surroundings (find the buttons are usually for scams) and don't trust anyone you just met.

this thread is more for none IRL scams, as they are easier to find and usually vary. But yeah I totally agree with all that, but this is mainly for just in game scams because a lot of people hate them and this is a quick fix to it

u should test out the scam by "left click" that will help you check if it is scam or not ;)
