Staff applications

I just made an application, with a genuine intent of becoming staff, this is my second time and I improved from my previous application, but I was denied again due to "Lack of detail". Now I have no way of improving my application for at least 2 months, personally i think staff should have the power to grant an extra app to a person if they think that person is genuinely close to having an acceptable application. Whether or not my app is close to being acceptable is a different matter but personally I believe it is and I think anyone who would read it would say so. If I was allowed to just edit my app then I could probably get in and Invaded may be missing out on a lot of good staff members by making them wait. Just to be clear this is not a rant, I am not begging to have another try, I just thought I should put it out there

They leave you more time in order to apply to more servers and get more experience, detailing your application better and having more stuff to add to it. Granting an extra application to everyone is dumb, granting an extra application to just some people adds a whole host of problems, and also people like you, denied for lack of detail, may apply again making a super long application full of big words but little actual content. That is why I believe things should go as they are now.

You do make a good point

It's the applicant's responsibility to ensure they detail their application to an acceptable standard. Honestly, it doesn't seem necessary and feasible for them to have a system like that. It seems fine how it is tbh (in my opinion)

If you full heartedly want this, I’d plan out your application in advance. They are expecting an application that is almost job quality. (I say almost because they hire under 16-17). Giving extra applications to certain people could cause a lot of anger. One of the reasons is mostly because there are so many people that are fit to be staff, doesn’t mean they are going to get chosen during the season. This could make people that had a good application get really mad that others got special privilege. Not a good idea

There is no point in that since you listed every skill you have amd all experiences you have. The big period of apps being closed is for applicants to imprlve themselves. If you could reapply at the same moment you would have no way to improve yourself that quickly and you would just lie to get accepted.

they could at least make a system that tells you roughly how good your app is before you submit it
Or give you an example
Please try to make one reply with all your responses, and just edit in something that you want to add instead of quoting it.

I personally think that the system right now is perfect, they give you a opportunity and if you didn't get accepted, next season you would get more experience and provide more detail and have another chance. I think staff giving more people second chances will lead to anger at the people given second chances and accepted, and that there would also be some biasness as a staff member can give their friend who has a weaker app another chance, but not give a stronger candidate a chance. If you think you are close, my advice would be to plan your appeal ahead of time and make it more detailed.

dude they literally give you a guidelines of what to include and old admin apexwassabi even made a trainee guide of what to think about and include. Don't whine about it, they usally only pick 3-5 applications to be accepted and then they only hire 3 trainees out of the 2000 applications they get every season

There's already lots of applications which get submitted, and you're told that not having enough detail will get you denied. You get another chance when the next time staff apps open again to re-apply and improve on your application. You should always plan your application out and make sure you have a sufficient amount of detail to even be considered for staff. They have to pick the best applicants at the end of the day.

If you or anyone else was "genuinely close" to having an acceptable application, then they wouldn't have been denied for lack of detail. A staff member decided that your application wasn't up to the standards of what we look for and they denied it. Regardless of what you think, we look for certain traits, skills, experience, and other factors included. You get 1 Chance per Season, you have to make the best of that chance.
