Said it before, I’ll say it again. Make it so Mod and above can actually deal with anti cheat ban appeals, and regular cheating appeals.
Someone said it’s not as easy as that because it shows specific information that staff of that level should be able to see, so? You have developers ffs get around it and find a way of showing the anticheat logs so false appeals will be dealt with a lot quicker.

don’t say ‘be patient’ Ik people who have been waiting a month maybe even more for false anticheat unban. The managers barely ever do appeals. Give your ‘staff’ more perms so they can actually do their job properly. Imagine being able to ban for cheating but not able to check logs to unban ??? Like makes 0 sense.

dumbest thing i've read today, no point of buying a custom/private anticheat if you're gonna give non nda'd volunteer mods access to see what cheats are gonna set off what logs

idk about all logs, but logs containing anti-cheat stuff yes.

they use a custom verus, if volunteer staff members, many of which pvp, had access to logs, it means they would be able to find out what cheats bypass the anticheat and what cheats set off the logs. they can then use this themselves or give the info to other players. that would just ruin the entire point of the custom anticheat

two things though,

how are people going to know which staff member leaked the info?

and, once the damage is done, it's done. they'd have wasted their money on the custom ac, sure you can change the config but bypasses would then be known

I'm haven't ever been a staff member before, but it shouldn't be that hard.

I don't think its that common for a staff member to abuse and tell other people how to bypass...

that’s because they currently only give access to AC logs to very trusted staff members lol. if it was given out more freely (like to mods) then it would be leaked, and some people might even become staff just to leak it

If all 13 Mod+'s had access to logs, that would mean that the command to check logs would be used very frequently, therefore, it'd be hard for a manager to pinpoint one person to blame for that.

Right. It's not common here because they have it this way. It's happened on other servers that don't limit logs to NDA'd people only. I bet you if they let mods and above have logs then it would happen...

I don't know about giving it to mods but Sr Mods would make more sense due to seniority and certain perms they get with that rank already

I'd disagree, I think that whilst it still being a more senior position, It's still a position that a staff member can resign from and then get reinstated to without having to work their way back up. They could resign, quit for a while, be asked to leak something, become staff again and then leak it. I still think it should remain the way it already is

Yes, but their still needs to be a way to do ban appeals faster then now.

I haven't heard of people becoming staff on other servers and then leaking the bypass perms. I doubt it is as common as you think, If it is, then limit it to sr or admin.

Highly doubt, but maybe make it so that senior mods and above could do them.

You say this but both zack and lionnco resigned from admin (its not a sr mod exclusive thing) and got it back (for good reasons though). There is some level of seniority and trust that is given to Sr Mods. They don't just go and give it to anyone and the same theory could be said about admins. Plus if anythings leaked and they find out you get demoted no matter your role.

not that deep… literally flight bypasses ur saying you’d rather loads of people be false banned for ages , then a couple staff maybe find ways to bypass. Good one mate
