I know, I know I said I'd never make one of these posts, but I feel as though I have to. We either need more staff, put a certain amount of time that staff will need to be on, or just have them do their jobs better. I know, I am not one to critique the work of someone older than me, but an intelligent 14 year old would like to state some things I see wrong with the staff.

- We need to make a time guidelines for them. I get that staff have lives, but seriously that's not the staff we are looking for. We are looking for staff who will put as much heart and soul into this server as much as they would for anything else.

- There were many, and I mean MANY, instances where someone was spamming their youtube link and a staff member just sits there and is like "Ily2, hi hi, what's up" while the kid decides to go on about his link and his youtube. I had to REMIND them about doing their job, and decide to mute them. Another instance happened with Hamoka, where she was just chatting endlessly while this kid was spamming for people to go into his player warp. Yet again, I had to say "Hey Hamoka, can you do us ALL a favor and do your job by muting that kid ___?" Then everyone started to call me a mini-mod... which I'm not, blah blah blah, yeah you get the idea.

- If a staff says they will be active and moderate the chat a lot, I darn better see a staff almost every time I log in moderating chat. If not I am going to blow a gasket, because they are not sticking to their words of being "active" and "moderating chat."

Sorry if I offended anyone in this, but I feel like I was obligated to make this post from what I have been witnessing these past weeks.
 
I see your views, however we need to remember that the staff do a whole lot more than just mute players in chat, that’s just one aspect to staffing. Instead of staff dealing with it what if they were to code a plug-in to deal with mute offences?

I get your views as well, I'm mainly talking about them letting kids spam as they sit there in chat and let it happen and act all happy and bubbly.
 
Yes same, I had a real problem and when I was trying to ask for help none of the players were answering me. Hamoka was the only one online so I tried to @ her name in chat so I could figure something out. She did not answer even though I sent the message about 17 times already. I tried to start a conversation through the website and yet again she did not answer my question I never figured it out and I do LY hamoka it’s just please answer someone when they need help and not someone who doesn‘t. Like this kid above I have no right to question an adult it’s just I got kinda frustrated. The staff system does need a fix when it comes to help.

I know where you're coming from but the staff do do a good job.
There's alot going on behind the scenes which we don't see and they are busy as well. I've seen loads of instances where the staff team have instantly muted spammers.
They do want to have fun on the server as well as doing their job as it is a volunteer position.

I see what you're saying, but I'm more focused on the chat aspect.
 
The staff does a lot here. they have to check the forums at the same time, be on minecraft at the same time, and be on discord at the same time. It is simply not possible to check all the reports 24/7 or the ban appeals 24/7 and forums 24/7 and banning hackers or dealing with those chat problems. They are also human beings and not skeppy's robots so they might not be able to catch everything with chat with dm messages and everything else going on. The staff do a lot.

This is actually so true, so many staff just sit there in chat and people wonder why ban appeals take 3 weeks to get checked
 
The staff are 100% fine.
Of course they'll have a staff guide.

You are criticising staff that do a great job for the community. Not so intelligent.

Just a wake up call for you, being staff on 1pick's server doesn't give you the right to say staff are slacking, when you have no idea what they do, and how much they do.

it seems a lot more glorified than that though. guys, they’re also people and can’t focus on everything all the time. I’m not saying we don’t need more staff, for sure that would help, but they work hard and do a good job.

If staff punished every single minor act or annoyance on the server, the staff won’t be able to have fun whatsoever. I’d much rather have staff that have fun and last longer than punish nazis that go around punishing every small crime and burn out quicker. They have lives, they have friends on the server, let them discipline themselves and let them punish those who they think are worthy enough to be punished.
