Because theres some reasons:
1. Server's stats reset, people started to grind iron for free kills
2. Everyone knows should kill iron although you are iron or diamond.

KITPVP- You get kits and you pvp, the easier the kill the larger the target so go after iron armour if your iron armour not a full diamond armour guy you will die, it's that simple.
