KitPvP

What is a "Mini Reset"?
Due to the delay of the survival reset, it would not be possible for us to do a full content reset of the KitPvP server at the moment. Therefore, we have decided to reset items & stats as well as put on an old retro map temporarily. There will be some changes which are outlined below & we plan on still giving KitPvP a "content reset" as soon as possible. There is no ETA at this moment for a full "content reset" however, this mini reset will not go through the typical 6-month cycle without a reset, it will be shorter.


When will the server be reset?
We plan on resetting KitPvP on Friday, June 4th @ 3:30 PM EST, however, the server will be whitelisted starting Thursday, June 3rd @ 12:30 PM EST. The reason for this whitelist period is to allow time for us to make all the changes and ensure all of it is in full working order before launching the server.

What will be reset?

• Player Inventories
• Player Warps
• Ender Chests
• Vaults
• Auction House
• Statistics
• Balance
• Reclaims
• Clans

All of the above will be reset on the date specified. We do these resets to take items, balance & statistics out of the cycle; this refreshes the server and creates an even playing field to start the season. This also allows us to implement changes to the gamemode to progress and enhance player experience.



Retro Map
We have decided to put an old map during this temporary reset instead of having a new map built for a short period of time. We have decided to let you vote between 2 maps, the vote will close once Survival has reset & the results will be posted on our Discord server. Doing this gives newer players a chance to play on an older map and gives players who have played on an older map before a "take-back" to the experience that came through one of these maps.

A retro map is cool ig but, in my opinion, it would be better to just wait a few weeks to reset it fully.

Changes
Below is a list of changes and additions that you can expect to see:

• Shop prices have been adjusted to better fit the economy. (This includes God Apples, Fishing rods, Speed 2 potions, Diamond Armor)

finally, I've been wanting this for a while this will make the shop more balanced.

• Slowness potions can be purchased from /shop

this is an interesting concept but it will just make people frustrated and not want to PVP.

• The enchantment prices have been adjusted to better fit the economy. You can now also put a Punch 2 enchantment on your bow.

Ok this is actually INSANE

• Sharpness 5 Swords have been reintroduced. They can be found rarely in Vote & Event Crates as well as in Loot drops

In my opinion, the game was better off without them. they will make pvp more unbalanced. it will make s3s and p1 useless,

to balance it out i would say:

kiit god should have s3

overlord should have s4

• Sharpness 4 Swords may be nerfed in some way

ok this will be ok if they add them to kit overlord as they will be more common and have a nerf.

• You can now obtain a strength player potion from killing someone who has strength
  • Note: You will not be allowed to farm this potion as potion farming is against the Network Rules.

I think that people wont listen and just do it anyway. I think this is a good idea if there was a better way to enforce the rules.

• One of the 1:30 minute speed potions in Kit Overlord has been replaced with an 8-minute speed potion

I like this

• Kit VIP has received multiple changes, essentially making the kit better:
  • The sword has been upgraded to sharpness 2
  • This kit will now include a 1:30m speed potion as well as a poison potion

if kit god gets s3 and overlord s4 this will be ok!

• New possible duel kits:
  • Soup
  • A more "generalized" Invaded kit to better represent a typical loadout

ok! this is cool.

• Players who have permission to use chat color will have access to the White (&f) chat color

ok, i like this

• Reworking of Achievements

i don't really have an opinion on this.

• You will receive rewards when you prestige such as money, kits & keys.

Note that not every change that will be made was put into this thread, but this covers the wide range of possible significant changes.

just fucking appreciate what they’re doing, you guys get two early resets in a row, you’ll get your content reset. Just quit complaining for ONCE

agreed, plus, kit got reset right around the 6 month mark, while survival had to wait 9 months w/o and mini reset/content reset

Nope, it really isn't like that. If you actually continued to read through the post on the forums you would've seen that I clearly said "Recently, we have been going through some major work internally", "let me assure you that big things are going to be coming from the work going on now." and "We have big plans going forward". The statement you said just doesn't make sense.

So its the same as a reset accept their to lazy to do it right?

Once again, not due to being "lazy", as I said above you would understand the reason as to why we done this if you continued to read the thread.

No. I said to not have a new map built for a temporary reset due to multiple reasons. One reason being is so that the builders can use their time wisely to work on new maps for stuff like the "content" reset that will be soon after the "mini" reset.

WOW rlly? That's about the stupidest thing I've heard this is going to piss everyone off and just make people quit.

They should be balanced.

I've also seen the community response to these potions being added so I will be looking at what can be done about the issues raised & the suggestions put forward. The slowness potion was actually suggested by multiple players as well.

Once I have looked into all the options I will elaborate on our plans for the potions soon.

Considering the number of people who suggested for the Sharpness 5 swords to be bought back, I feel that this is just opinionated and does not give any proper reasons as to why sharpness 5 swords would "ruin pvp" as you said.

Sharpness 4 Swords may be nerfed in some way. The keyword there is "may be" as it is still under consideration.

No? Kit god gives you protection 3 gear, 3 enchanted golden apples, fire resistance, fishing rod, and other items. Can't

Overall, I thank you for making this post. Everyone is entitled to their opinions about this & I will read through as many opinions as I possibly can to make sure that players are satisfied with our plans for kit.
