Survival Improvements (FOR STAFF AND ACTIVE COMMUNITY)

Hello all,

This post is about why survival is dying and some improvements that should be implemented to make survival more enjoyable.

(Directed at staff to hopefully take these suggestions seriously and hopefully implement some)

In the past few months, a lot of active people have quit and mostly for the same reason. Survival only has a few player goals and they can be achieved very quickly. These goals include grinding for money, building, and mcmmo. Grinding money on survival can be achieved very quickly. All you need is a few blaze to get started and then you can upgrade to higher tier spawners to gain money quicker. If the shop prices weren’t so high like Skyblock it would take longer to grind for more spawners and people wouldn’t get tons of money right away so thence get bored quickly. Next is building. Building can only be so fun on a server that resets every six months. Not much has to be said about building, when you have /fly its basically creative mode. For starters mcmmo is another grinding area in survival. Grinding for mcmmo levels is really only a boasting thing because it doesn’t really affect you, so I guess I’m trying to say that mcmmo should help and improve the player more. These three things to grind on get very boring very fast.

Now here are some suggestions on how to improve survival to create an active playerbase that doesn’t quit within a few months of joining.

Claims

Add a few commands that the player base has been asking for, for quite a while

/claimkick – kicks players from your claim

/claimban – bans players from your claim

/claimpvp – enables pvp in your claim

Auction

Currently the max price is 1M which isn’t much at all

Make spawner stacks sellable up to 100M

It is annoying to always advertise in chat “SELLING STACK OF IGS 100M”

Warp PVP

Even though I said above that mcmmo doesn’t help much, this is the only place where it really does

Using mcmmo axe, sword, or unnarmed levels creates a HUGE advantage and that’s why /warp pvp is just dead

When being tp’d into warp pvp you have no clue that you are going to warp pvp. If a warning was made before you were tp’d it would make tp killing impossible which would get rid of some toxicity

Chest Shops

Chest shops would make survival shops another way of income and would honestly just make it a more enjoyable gamemode

Profit shops like used in SB would help out new players and it is nice because both people get money (seller and buyer)

Price in shop

So I have recently been playing on skyblock and learning about it. The price in shop is nice because OP items such as IGS spawners cost a TON compared to survival. To even get good stuff in skyblock you have to sell items which is the same as survival but the sell prices are WAY WAY WAY lower which is something that would be beneficial to Survival. If shop prices in survival were similar to skyblock grinding for money would be harder and people wouldn’t get as bored as fast as they do now.

Player Council

For starters, I wasn’t around when there was a player council. I do not know what happened in the council but whatever happened something can change. If some new player council that took advice from the active player base it would bring new ideas to the staff team that they may have not thought of before thence having community wanted updates which would make it more enjoyable to play.

End Dimension

Something has to be done about the end. This season it just got greifed and now it’s too late. Have there be a community end portal that can’t get destroyed so new players can go to the end. Have the End have something in it so it just doesn’t get greifed in 2 hours. I’m not sure what the fix is but something has to be done.

Other Suggestions

Have naturally spawning mobs come back. It simply makes it have that vanilla feel to it.

Introduce an “Items cleared” text appear.

Better voting crate prizes. I mean seriously just compare them to Kit and SB. No explanation needed.

Have Immortal rank come with more commands. For 15 USD all you get is 5 more sethomes and 1 more PV??? Really? For 15 USD???



Lastly, (this is to staff) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just think of something to increase player goals. (GREAT COMMUNTIY REQUESTED IDEAS ABOVE :) )

I've looked at the code for the claiming system once and this isn't possible with the plug in that they use. Claims are always rectangular. There would be no way to merge two claims next to each other unless they form one rectangle together. At that point you should have just extended a claim instead of making two claims next to each other.

yes that will be easy for events, or someone is grieifn,g or being annoying.
This sort of reply is why players don't get listened to.

Vaxxi has made some good suggestions that many members of the active player base agree with and people just start responsindg with useless spam instead of constructive additions.

I will add my opinions on all Vaxxis suggestions later.

This is actually really good. I pretty much quit because the irl deal period of this season ended and I pretty much have enough grinders that if I needed money I could just get it quickly in like 1 hour. And besides from grinding for money there isn't anything else to do in survival really, it just gets very stale and boring. I know my friends also quit because of that, so I'm going to have to give this a +1.
