so, skyblock is getting one in the reset, so it only makes sense that the same is for survival. this means ACTUAL SURVIVAL AND NOT FACTIONS! keep in mind that it hasn't been confirmed, it just makes sense to happen. if not, survival is done for :\
 
I've found the lack of new blocks (slabs, stairs, or other), the bugs (slabs not placing how they should sometimes, etc) and other issues simply crippling.
 
Honnestly I really like the new versions of minecraft, there's a lot of new blocks which offers many build possibilities and other cool stuff. So why not ? Tho it wouldn't bother me at all to stay in that version, i think we are all used to it and it's not like it's 1.3 haha

I prefer 1.8.9
 
Newer versions would be amazing for building and some new features like elytra would be nice but the older mechanics are better

They should move it up for sure, 1.8 survival just isn’t fun

well tbh i do prefer 1.8.9 but for some reason this reset i kinda want a version upgrade just to make stuff more interesting... def not 1.16 cuz nether fortresses r harder to find which makes it harder to get blaze spawners in the beginning
 
hm new versions have more enchantments that = op
also the variety of blocks in new versions is great for building which is wat i only do
the pvp there is shields and swinging so the shields block damage and swinging does more damage seems cool but probs take shorter or longer to pvp its survival anyways
also 1.16.1 still has bugs so i don't think it would be good (netherite is going to be wayyy to op as well but it isn't going to 1.16.1 for sure)
honestly newer versions make it too op for the server but its not gunna do harm most likely rich tho

might be some challenge if this happens! love to see new blocks used in builds and new mobs+spawners!
 
the only thing good about 1.8 is the pvp, 1.15 >>> it has better mobs, better xp system, more blocks = more creativity, actually has less bugs, more enchantments, improved biomes and structures, this list could go on...
 
It would be kinda cool yes, it's basically more blox and this stuff, but also I prefer 1.8... I wouldn't really care
