Approximately 9 months ago survival was closed due to the necessity of a full server recode. Today I am pleased to announce we are now ready to fully re-introduce the gamemode.
This thread will go over all of the vital information that you will need to know regarding the release of Survival.
When will the server be released?
This upcoming Friday, November 4th at 3:00 PM EST we will be unwhitelisting the server for all players. We have been working hard as a team to bring this gamemode back and we hope you all enjoy yourselves.
( Click here for a countdown until the reset )
What will be reset?
Since the server has been offline for so long, it will be receiving a full reset. For those who are unaware of what is removed in a full reset, see the list of items below.
Version Upgrade
- Player Inventories
- Ender Chests
- Vaults
- Auction House
- Claims & Claim Blocks
- Balances
- Reclaims
Survival's core set of plugins have all been updated to run natively on Minecraft 1.19.2 meaning we are now able to support content from this version, this results in quite a bit of potential in terms of content updates which you can expect throughout the season.
Anything that exists in 1.19.2 will be completely supported unless explicitly disabled for server stability during the season, this includes combat/general mechanics as well as items & blocks. Players who are not on 1.19.2 will be able to see substitutes for these (e.g. an Acacia Boat on 1.19.2 will appear as a regular boat for those on 1.8.9 due to there being only one type on that version).
With this version upgrade, we will be changing the terrain that you are used to seeing on survival. Before this season, we used custom generation for terrain but moving forward with this version upgrade, we will be using the new world generation as seen from the Caves and Cliffs update. This means the new cave generation as well as build height limits have been implemented.

(Note: Versions below 1.19.2 will experience issues when going to the new height limits, for the best playing experience it is recommended you play on version 1.19.2 at all times)
Other Changes
While working on this gamemode, we encountered some major changes that needed to be made in order to ensure the server's stability. Such a change would be the complete rework of the /fly perk, with this, players will be able to infinitely fly in their own claims or ones they are trusted in however, flying outside of claims will be on a timer, and this timer will regenerate based on playtime while flight is toggled off. Nether will have fly disabled as a whole so everyone has a chance to acquire spawners & explore.
Alongside this, the End dimension will be disabled initially and then enabled later in the season so everyone has a chance to participate in a server-wide event and access it at the same time, this will also give us time to create special content with the dimension.
We understand some people may be upset with these specific changes but it is a necessity to preserve server performance/stability & gameplay longevity.
Lastly, some world limits have been updated:
- Overworld - 30,000 x 30,000 (previously 25,000 x 25,000)
- Nether - 8,000 x 8,000 (same as previous)
- End - 10,000 x 10,000 (previously 6,000 x 6,000)
the fly rework is not chad behaviourView attachment 27581

Seeing that skyblock averages 4+ tabs in evenings, survival could have the same and even moreAnd it will average 20 players xD
I'd have to agree with Elie- there's a good chunk of survival players playing skyblock waiting for survival to open.Seeing that skyblock averages 4+ tabs in evenings, survival could have the same and even more
Which means sb will die and surv will be alive for a month and then average 20 players againI'd have to agree with Elie- there's a good chunk of survival players playing skyblock waiting for survival to open.
