I simply don’t understand why one would assume they get “3 days off school” I find it highly unlikely, it would most likely be a day for the funeral and one for the coronation. Hopefully in 10 years time. GSTQ.

Not in a million years, there's plans in place and there has been precedents set from previous monarch deaths (albeit many years ago) which will continue to be followed. There will be a period of mourning likely to last 12 days but the only days off school or work would be the funeral and coronation of the King.
