Hey! I believe it is only proper for me to make a comment on this. I completely understand the outrage, concerns, and bewilderment. Everything that has occurred in the previous month has been extremely chaotic, stressful, and ultimately upsetting. I personally do my best to be liked by everyone; yet, I understand that not everyone will see me favorably, which is very fair.
But there are a few things I'd like to express. (To be clear, I'm not defending myself here. I'm only sharing what's on my mind.)
First and foremost, no one is in the wrong here. Not Krypto, cSyre, or anybody else. Everyone is expressing their point of view, which is completely reasonable, and when I consider things from Kryptos' perspective, I can see why he created this post. There had been a number of conversations with Krypto up to this point, some less important and others more so. Looking back on our previous chat, I was being the 'yes guy,' which I am most of the time. I always have my own viewpoint, and if I do have something to say, I say it out loud, but in that circumstance, Luke was the one who did the majority of the talking. However, again if there's something to comment on, I try my best to do so.
I've read a number of remarks about Luke and me that have raised worries about power and other issues. Now, I can't speak for Luke, but I'm sure his thoughts are similar to mine. However, I believe he will respond to this as well later.
To begin. I agree with you all. My activity hasn't always been great. There have been instances when I've been too focused on other things or busy with things. I've occasionally assisted more behind the scenes, and after becoming Admin, I took over the position of Discord Staff Manager, which was something I was passionate about. Since then, I've delegated the DSM role to Didgo, and I'm confident he has big plans for it! Everything went down a bit after I became Admin. Affixes was promoted to manager, and you're undoubtedly aware of the rest of the story. The majority of the staff resigned, but Luke and I remained. We wanted to stay and assist Invadedlands to get back on its feet, even though we never truly agreed with affixes and had considered leaving for the same reason as everyone else. I've always had a special place in my heart for Invadedlands, and I didn't want the server to die. Luke and I went to affixes and made it absolutely clear that we wanted to help, but that if we weren't listened to, we would quit immediately.
Luke and I were quickly promoted to manager as a result of this and therefore I understand why people are upset about this. The transition from Admin to my current role happened faster than I could have imagined. So people being upset is more than reasonable. This, however, comes with power, and I see why people are concerned that we are power-hungry. Again, I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure Luke feels the same way.
I have no intention of taking advantage of my position. My personal objective is to recover the InvadedLands we love, as well as to ensure that this actually happens and is achieved. What I want to do is listen to the people in the community. I'd want to hear what everyone else has to say, what recommendations you might have, and what you want to see for InvadedLands so that I can implement it if the majority of people agree. I consider myself to be a really down-to-earth individual who wants to go out of his way in order to assist others and I hope that's something I can prove.
To wrap things off, I'd want to point out again that this is not a defense of myself. I've shared some of my views, and I hope you'll take the time to respond with some feedback or thoughts on what I said. I'll try my best to answer everyone as fast as possible, but given that I've been on vacation for the past two weeks and I'm coming home this Saturday, I may be a little slower with responses. I will, however, get to them.
