Dating back to before I even joined the Minecraft server, I was apart of the Discord server for this server since ya know, this is basically Skeppy's discord server. However, as I slowly got into playing on the actual Minecraft server, I found it to get increasingly toxic. As a Discord Server that is branded as the server for InvadedLands, it feels very poorly managed. Trust me, I understand that staff can't be on Discord 24/7, but I feel like they need to hire or have some people specifically to manage the Discord. I usually have Discord open on my 2nd monitor while I do hw, play games, or whatever on my main monitor, and it is honestly a hot mess. The server is just little 2 year olds spamming, Discord Voice Chats of people just screaming, and personally I think it's just improperly managed. I'm not trying to hate on the server in any capacity, but when someone advertises their Discord Server for 3 days straight, to finally be banned by a Mod, I feel there is something that needs to be done. I think rules need to be more strict, and overall management of it needs to be be changed.

Now this could obviously just be me being annoying, but I hope i'm not the only person that sees this.
 
I suggested this idea to the invaded player council but was denied due to that it would add more applications and not trusting people with permissions.

Edit: they also gave me a remark that "the bots do just fine". In some cases yes, but there's so much a bot can do.

they don’t prioritize the discord, so don’t expect discord mods anytime soon

I was recently talking to another Staff member about this and they totally agree that its very unorganized. I just dont get why they can't perhaps maybe make the bots stricter for their requirements to mute/ban. It just gets very annoying most of the time and I feel like there are so many easy fixes they can do that just dont happen

I fully agree with this statement. The discord server has a full toxic community and it gets worse when there's an event.

Some encounters I have seen is people saying racial slurs, playing inappropriate things such as a ph intro, as I don't want to say the full word. Some people 'ear ****' the voice channels and there is no one there to do anything about it.

I have no hate towards the amount of work a staff member puts into their job as a minecraft staff member or a discord staff member but we need some people specifically for the discord since I know that staff members have other things to do than just sit in a voice channel and wait for people to stop 'ear raping' everyone else.

At this point people don't even try to contact the staff when there is someone doing something in voice channels and that's what makes it a big problem.

The other problem is how much people spam the discord saying more racial slurs and using numbers such as 1 to hide it. The bot that the discord has to stop these people does stop them if I am being honest, but it takes a while since the bot can't always do every single person. To me, no hate towards the bot, the staff members in the discord could do better than the bot.

That's about it.

Agreed. I dont think it needs alot, just some minority changed that will really benefit it. I don't know if staff are required to monitor the discord Server, but I think getting Staff simply for it since it has like 12,000 people in the server would be extremely beneficial

Oh yeah absolutely. I am also in no means trying to diminish the work and hours put into the servers by the Staff at all. Thats why I am also suggesting more Staff strictly for the Discord Server, and I feel like there could be alot of traction with it

there is ways that they could make the bot stricter, it isn't that hard. Problem is, people who have access to make changes are managers and up and I'm pretty they don't have time to do it.

Yeah thats why I recommend having staff explicitly for the Discord. They can easily regulate it since the actual Staff are so busy as it is

exactly what I said to the council. The Discord Mod is not an invaded staff member and they only moderate the discord. They would access to moderation commands and that's it.

Yeah, Maybe they can have some sort of role on the actual server just as thanks for moderating or something. I think it would help immensely though

I mean on the minecraft server as well. Idk just something so people feel like they should do good and work on it. I know the regular staff have exponentially alot to deal with, so give it to some people who are active in the discord to regulate it.
 
The discord server is like a whole other breed they just talk about whatever they want and do whatever lolv

I really think having a rank on the mc server for people who mod a discord server is unnecessary

That's not a good incentive. If you are applying for Discord Mod just to want a rank on an mc server. then you are just caring about being famous and not doing the duty of the role you are given.
