Hi! Before I start this I just wanted to say this guide is not going to be very long, and I am making this just to help newer players who need some guidance. So let's start with the question:
What is a pw?
------------------------------------
The term pw stands for Player Warp. Player Warps are player-made warps on Kit PVP that allow players to pvp, have sumo 1v1s, parkour, and just about anything you like! They are the main place people go to have 1v1's or competitions.
How do I go to one?
-------------------------------------
Player Warps are accessible by using the command, /pw [insert player name here] For example, if you wanted to go to apexwasabi's player warp, you would do /pw apexwasabi . You may have seen people advertising their player warps using this command. Remember, you can't use this command while in combat. You can check whether you are in combat or not by looking at the box on the right of your screen.
What are inside of Player warps?
---------------------------------------
Player Warps can vary in content depending on their intended use. The most common purpose of a player warp is to PvP.
Below is a guide to PvP warps.
PvP player warps include several things to enhance the gameplay. The most common thing you can find in a PvP Player Warp is a safe room. These contraptions are usually open iron doors that lead into a small room with a pressure plate. Standing on the pressure plate closes the iron door, allowing yourself to be safe from the players outside. This allows you to heal up and go back outside, or return to spawn after your combat cooldown is over.
Another thing that is common throughout PvP Player Warps are traps. The most common one are pits right below the safe zone of the pw. If you fall into these pits, you may notice slabs near your feet. These slabs are holes for players to come down and hit you from. These are very effective traps that cause people to be trapped for long periods of time, as the person killing them can not be harmed and the player who is trapped cant leave due to their combat timer. This is avoidable with enderpearls. However, players have started adding redstone to the top of these pits, blocking ender pearls. Make sure you are not wearing or holding and items that you do not want to lose before getting close to these pits!
Another trap that is less common are saferoom traps. These can be seen on /pw joyoy0 and /pw foxify. Foxify's pw shows this well. Some saferooms activate pistons that open a pit in front of the safe room, upon standing on the pressure plate. These are not as common. Some other less common traps are iron door square traps and redstone traps.
Other than traps, player warps can contain other gameplay changes. These include things like skybases and parkour. Although parkour is less common among PvP pws, it still exists. Skybases are often large staircases that have holes on the way to the top. Some pw's that have these skybases are /pw joyoy0 and /pw xelvy. Parkour pw's include /pw foxify and /pw 1pick.
The last major component of PvP warps are Sumo arenas. These are small platforms that allow players to have a sumo battle. They are often started by a player firing an arrow, and as the arrow lands the battle begins. The first person to knock the other player off the platform using their fist wins!
Below is a Guide to non PvP warps.
Although the title of this section suggests this guide is for non pvp player warps, most player warps have components for pvp. Therefore, this guide will list components of player warps that have other features that aren't just pvp. Great examples of these are /pw hamoka and /pw 1pick. They feature builds that are fun and innovative, but they also have saferooms and pits for pvp. For example, 1pick's pw has a parkour area that leads to a wedding (I know very strange). Hamoka's pw has a bunch of trees and is very colorful. These kinds of pw's are used to just hang out and have fun. I have seen events such as tag, sumo 1v1s, and parkour races happen here. These pw's are mainly a place for the community to have fun.
What are some of the best pw's?
------------------------------------------------------
If you have read this guide, you will know understand that this is not an easy answer! Depending on what you want to do, each pw has something to offer. However, there are some pw's that are better than others due to their originality, popularity, or great usage capability. Also, before I list the best pw's I would like to explain that all pw's are great, and I mean no disrespect to their creators. With that being said, here are some of the best:
PvP warps:
--------------------
I believe that the best pvp warp is /pw foxify. Now, there are many reasons why. The first reason is that this pw will always have people. This is due to heave advertising in chat and how great the pw is. This pw includes many traps and safe rooms. Another component that this pw has is the fact that the entire space of the pw is used. The bottom of this pw is filled with pvp pits and saferooms, and has several ways to head up the pw. There is a staircase to parkour, another trap, and at the very top two saferooms on the side and a bridge to a safe room in the middle. This allows players to be doing several things and you rarely get bored. Another great part of this pw is the sheer amounts of iron players. Yes, there are people in diamond but since there are so many ways to die, most players run in /kit pvp. This allows players to have a more fair and fun time.
The second best player warp for pvp (in my opinion) is /pw joyoy0. Although this pw is not as populated, it has basic features and some secrets to be found. It has the basic amount of saferooms, and an original safe room trap. It also has a large skybase in the center, which allows for more fun. Below the pw's main ground is an underground tunnel system, which channels into areas where you can kill people in fallen pits or have 1v1s in small rooms. There is also a secret tunnel that leads to a jukebox and a note block, but I'll leave it to you to find it!
A pw I would like to mention is /pw dec1ph3r. This player bought a pw just to leave it empty, making it perfect for 1v1s. You do not have to worry about your opponent going into a saferoom or going above you, its just flat ground.
There are several more great pvp pws, and this thread is open to adding more of the best for pvp as more pw's come and go. If you would like to suggest an addition to this list, please message me here on the forums or on discord.
Non Pvp Warps:
--------------------------
These warps that I am about to mention demonstrate creativity and lots of opportunities for fun events. Once again, no disrespect to the pw's I did not mention, and please let me know if you believe a certain pw should be added!
The first pw I am going to talk about is /pw 1pick. Now at first glance, this pw may look like a pvp pw, but it has a lot of components that I believe make it a fun place to hang out. It has a spaceship like build on the right, where you can mess around with your friends by closing the door and them as they climb up the ladder. In th emiddle building, there is a saferoom like house that allows you to start a parkour to a wedding if you find the way there. It is overall a nicely done pw and a fun place to hang out!
The second pw I am going to mention is /pw hamoka. This pw is mainly used for sumo, but is also a colorful and fun pw to play at. I use this pw to hang out with friends and just talk and do stupid challenges.
Once again, if you believe there is another pw that should be added, please let me know!
How do I make my own Pw?
---------------------------------------
There are three ways to get a pw. Pw's come in packages of time, meaning you get a certain amount of time to build your pw. You can buy these from the store in different time amounts. Here are the costs per warp (without server sale):
10 minute warp create: $20.00 USD
20 minute warp create: $33.33 USD
30 minute warp create: $46.67 USD
The second way to get a pw is buying the overlord rank. This rank costs $300.00 USD (without server sale) This rank comes with several other perks, if you would like to see a complete guide on all these perks then click here. The overlord purchase gives you a 20 minute warp create every Kit pvp season. This is the ONLY way to get a player warp that gives you 20 mins to build again after the kit pvp reset every 6 months. You can access after buying overlord by doing /reclaim.
The third and final way to get a player warp create is from invaded keys or christmas keys. Note: Christmas keys are seasonal and will not be in the store forever. Here is the prices and the times of player warp creates you can get per key (without store sale) :
Christmas key: $7.50 USD 10, 20, 30, and 90 minute warp create part of the legendary section. Click here for a full list of rewards you can get from a Christmas key.
Invaded Crate Key: $2.00 USD 10 minute and 30 minute warp create part of the legendary section. Click here for a full list of rewards you can get from an Invaded Crate Key.
NOTE: Player Warp Creates Reset After Every Kit PVP Reset! The Only way to have a permanent warp create is to buy overlord!
After you have created your pw, a staff member will check to see if your pw is appropiate. This includes inappropriate signs and builds. After that, you are all set!
I hope this guide was useful to players and please let me know if you believe something should be edited!
