Because A lot of staff resigned/demoted.
they're open cuz they lost a lot of staff but some came back
they shouldn't cause it isnt the typical staff season, they opened it for emergency reasons and its not really an "official" thing to announce
there have already been like 5 threads made on this, any active community members know they are open by this point. This somewhat prevents a spam of bad apps by Players who don't really qualify.
