What does it mean to be known on a kitpvp server?

I'm not entirely sure what is the requirements for being known on a kitpvp server?

I'm guessing you need a rank?

Maybe be one of the top killers all though that really doesn't prove anything.

Maybe be in one of those groups that go around killing people?

Maybe you need to host events a lot if you have the perms to do so.

Or even, purchase a lot of items from the store so people see your name in the chat and would remember it if it came up again.

I'm not making this thread in hope of figuring out How to become known myself, I'm just trying to figure out what made other people known. i have no reason for wanting or needing to be a known player.
