What is the reasoning for the growing toxicity in the server?

What is the reasoning for the growing toxicity in the server?

I don't know if y'all noticed, in the past weeks or so, the toxicity level in the server (especially in kitpvp) having been rising and going pretty crazy. It might be due to the huge amount of new players that is coming in, but I just feel like lots of people is starting toxic conversations for no reason at all and putting out toxic comments towards others for no reason at all. People have been started to target other random players and throwing toxic and explicit language at them, again, for almost no reason at all. I know toxicity isn't mutable or bannable, but it's just making the Invadedlands community/group more and more unfriendly. Also, in the Invadedlands discord, toxicity is a huge issue as well. Lots of members like to spam plugins for themselves, spam tagging Skeppy or fellow mods, and tagging people while talking to them just to piss them off or be annoying. People also posts inappropriate images as well as randomly adding people from the server just to say crap to them in dm. I think the staff should pay a little more attention to the well being and the toxicity of the community and players/members.
Idk, lemme know what y'all think. (I was actually really disrespectful before as well, but I've changed and that's how I noticed the toxicity issues of the server)

Maybe there should be actual chat helpers on the discord or something like that. They won't have any real perms except mutes.

You know why? Because of that huge mass of skeppy fanboys lagging the whole server for people who actually want to play.
People have been toxic to them. And for good reason.
Skeppy fanboys are annoying. I know most of you guys don’t realize it, but by sitting at spawn waiting for skeppy all day to come like he’s some messiah, you really lag the whole server and just destroy other people’s gameplay. It’s like king dedede stepping on a mouse, if you understand.

That's the thing it's not just skeppy fanboys anymore. I've seen so many people be toxic at other people for no reason including me. For example I was minding my own business doing kit PvP things and someone killed me and right after that they started messaging me saying I was trash and a non.

That’s standard toxicity you could find on any other server.
However, when you add fanboys into the equation...

That's exactly why invadedlands is toxic. We can't get over it because of people like you and calling someone "random" doesn't fix the problem of toxicity.
imagine not being able to take a joke LMAOOO random

bruh hes right tho.

Also ever since skeppy has reached his 1 mil, the server's toxicity level has increased by a lot. The more players there are, the more toxic it gets. However, do you see this phenomenon on a server like hypixel? They can have up to 40 thousand players, and overall they are probably less toxic then invaded. Here's why:

People get bored. How much kit can you really play? The reason why people tend to be toxic to others is because they get bored. They run out of options for entertainment, and resort to being toxic. People like getting reactions from people, its fun to watch. That's just human nature. It's sad, but it's true. That's why the most toxic server is Kit. On Survival and Skyblock, there are several things you can do. You don't get bored easily, so the chat is pretty ok. But in Kit, that chat is insane. People spamming, calling each other trash, saying stuff like: "FIRST PERSON TO GIVE ME ALL THEIR CASH GETS IT BACK DOUBLED!!!!" That's why people like events so much, cause its an oppurtunity to keep playing and have fun. But when there isn't an event, and you were just killed by a guy with s 4 p 4, you kinda give up. You resort to doing the one thing you can do: Be toxic. That's also why people cna be toxic here. It's cause they are bored and don't have anything better to do. It doesn't help that higher ranked players are toxic a lot (even if its a joke). This is bad because new players are going to see overlords/gods in skeppy's video in the chat, and see them saying something toxic or mean. They are either going to log on and start being toxic, or even start hacking to get attention. Because in the end, all people want is attention.

Anyway that concludes my ted talk thanks for reading

Your all forgetting the fact it is online in 2020...
Toxicity is everywhere online as people hide behind their screens.
We do our best to stop it here but it is like stopping the sun from rising... impossible as it always has happened and always will.

If players are specifically being toxic towards you or other players use the /ignore command.

Yes this is true, but invaded has a toxicity like no other server, you can’t deny that

Only difference I’ve seen is the toxicity against the skeppys at spawn which I 100% agree with them being a reason in the RECENT toxicity. People telling them to shut up and calling them randoms, fanboys, etc. Other than that it’s the typical InvadedLands toxicity.

This is very true, even though it’s sad you have to remember this game is full of immature children. It’s funny to actually see and get to know some of the people behind the keyboards of those whom are toxic.

Be kind to all players and staff, any form of toxicity is muteable.
This is a rule that I think a lot of people forget exist. Within reason, you could always report someone for being toxic as it’s technically in the rules, it won’t necessarily be enforced though unless it’s reported. As @Decay said it’s all over the internet now.

So PLEASE stop caring about a fancy rank and put that wasted time and energy into something actually meaningful.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk :)
You LITERALLY stole this from my thread I made last night LMAO
