So hearing about the new veteran capes being added to Minecraft made me curious when everyone started playing Minecraft.
My earliest memory of playing Minecraft was Halloween 2012, where I played pocket edition on my friends tablet. I started playing long term and on my own device in April 2013, playing the demo version of the game on xbox 360 throughout most of 1.5, all of 1.6, and a small part of 1.7 before getting the full game for xbox 360 Christmas 2013. After that I played through xbox 360, got xbox 1 version in the month that the xbox 1 released, upgraded to better together on xbox 1 as soon as it was available, got Pocket Edition around the same time, and only got Java this August.

Earliest time I learned Minecraft was a thing, probably around summer 2016 thanks to a friend. Version 1.9 Java Edition if I'm not mistaken. First time I ever saw Minecraft was some time earlier, at a swimming competition, where I was the only one of my team not competing in one of the categories and pretty much everyone else even of other teams was doing stuff and there was this dude from another team that was playing Minecraft PE and at the time I didn't know what it even was. I remember he was mining and had made a nice little patch of wheat farm underground. I started playing Minecraft on my own during around late 2017 / early 2018 I think, in 1.12.2, then my laptop had to be reset and I reinstalled the game some time later, where I started playing in snapshot 18w44a, and around January 2019 I finally joined one of my very first servers (a deep end server) that eventually got me to finally buy the game and stop using nfa alts. That's all the history. Despite me being a fairly new player I still know a lot about early Minecraft (thanks to me researching stuff for fun and watching lots of videos etc).

Edit: forgot about... back in 2015? 2016? maybe 2017? idk. I used to play Minecraft PE (cracked) on my grandma's iPad, but it started crashing more and more often and at one point it crashed every ten seconds so I just quit the game. Around 2018 I also started playing Minecraft PE again but soon quit.

December 2013/2014 I think. I remember playing pocket edition with my brother and my bio mom, so I don't know exactly what year it was but I was young. I got Java like 4 years ago

started 2012, when i saw my brother playing the minecraft tutorial world on his xbox 360
i saw him do it for like 1 hour and i loved the game so i asked him some months after if i could play it, then started to play on ipod pocket edition which was really fun too. I got minecraft java until 2016 2 weeks before 1.9 released

i got pocket edition early 2013 for my kindle, and in mid 2016 my friends said to get Minecraft and play on a server with them, but I accidentally bought windows edition instead of java. i got java early 2018

2011, I started on moble, moved to 360, to xbox one, to pc, I spent 7 fucking, YEARS on the 360. Those were the days

i got minecraft for xbox one edition in 2014 but didnt start playing until late 2015. i started playing bedrock edition on xbox in 2018 and then moved to pc and got java edition in december 2019

I played when minecraft lite(mobile app pretty much an extreme og version of minecraft pe) was still a thing. Um I joined java edition late 2015 or 2016 played badlion when it was a server(it ain't a server advertisement they are dead.) I just really liked the PVP aspect of Minecraft and it awarded high cps which was cool. I remember always wanted the java edition so my mom got it through a gift card and I played the game ever since. Made so much memories from minecraft and met cool people along the way.
