I dont know for sure, but I assume they saw a trend where players who bought unbans were more likely to break the rules again than players who mined for the unban. Repeatedly having to ban the same person is an unneeded waste of time for staff..

Ban Credits are against Mojang's EULA therefor it was only a matter of time before they remove them. Ontop of that, players will never learn their lesson if they can just keep buying ways out of their punishements.

this, in my opinion bans are worthless if you can buy your way out of them, i'm gonna get hated for this but i'm glad you can't buy jail credits any more (sorry not sorry)
