First off, I'm a relatively new player who joined the server about 2 or 3 months ago, so I apologise for my ignorance in advance. I use the auction house feature every day to earn in-game money, by selling stacks of cooked mutton. I basically earned 95% of all my money (500k) by doing so. Every time I check it, there are always people selling worthless items like dirt or cobblestone or water bottles for 1 million. Why do people do this? Obviously no one is going to buy it, so why are they doing this? If they think it's "funny", I'm just going to say that it's not, at least for me. I know it's not that major of an issue, but it's still quite annoying to see people do that. Maybe it's just an inside joke which I still haven't understood, idk

its only 1 mil lol. u can get 1m in like 10m with a good farm
I'm not talking about the price alone, of course, if a spawner was sold at 1 million, that's perfectly reasonable, but selling a block of dirt for 1 mil? That's just dumb

Two months or two years, every question and opinion is just as valid as another.

Some people do it thinking they're funny, some do it hoping someone will have spare money and buy something way overpriced just for the novelty aspect (Quite common now considering season is coming to an end).

Do you sell the cooked mutton on /ah for your money or by doing /sell ? Selling food on /ah has always been seen as a pretty pointless venture as there is minimal money to be earnt doing it.

I don't see it as a big problem as even when survival was at it's peak this season it was still fairly simple to ignore the pointless stuff on ah and buy the stuff I needed.

I sell a stack of cooked mutton on /ah for 10k, and almost everyday, someone buys it, so I don't see it as a bad way of earning money. Besides, I have no idea how to earn money other than selling stuff

This season the best way to earn money has been to grind at Cow/ Blaze spawners. You use a fire aspect 2 (for cows) looting 3 sword to kill the cows or blazes and every time your inventory is full you do "/sell a" which sells everything in your inventory.

Some of the more dedicated grinders on the server have earnt upwards (and even above) $100m per day.
