You can expect toxicity with really any competitive gamemode.
Toxicity=Attention
Many kids don't get the attention they seek from their parents and/or peers in real life, so they go online to places like Invaded and try to fill that gap with negative attention from others with no chance of serious reprocussions. And if they are punished for their actions, they make a forum-post complaining about how they were falsely punished.

Kitpvp is one of the most toxic servers of all time, overall it is very popular and has very unique things from different kitpvp servers. Some people are just mad cuz bad
You get 10v1ed because you’re using a god sword and also you’re not that good so people see you as a free god sword if they 2v1. No offense it’s just the truth.
To be simple, KitPvP is toxic because it requires skill; the good people are rarely toxic and will understand how they lost a fight and how they can improve from that, however, the bad people will continuously keep dying and start getting mad at people which'll lead them to threaten or trash talk players.
Cuz It's KitPvP, people get mad cuz they play too much, or they just think that they are the 'best', cuz if you play too much, then you'll rage, cuz u just focus on the game rather than something else, and keep in mind if you dont get mad and u have control of ur anger, than your good, cuz if you rage you'll just be unhappy and it'll make the game harder to play even tho it's ez (this is for toxic players who r actually like this lmfao <3)
Yep, legit same thing happened with me a few hours ago, ngl, waste of an s4 with 13 gods. I even brought a str like an idiot
Edit: I got 5v1ed, although I probably should've used everything buy my armor broke all to fast. No need to fret about it it's all in-game stuff and can easily be acquired again!

first of all, that's not toxicity. Half the time he literally just wants your god sword. Secondly, what are you going to expect by running out with a god sword and not having a sufficient amount of god apples? S4s in this game aren't even really considered "god" swords, so I assume you were using an S5. But if that was the case, why didn't you have at least like 10 god apples, at least 1 pearl and 2 punch bows?
That’s not toxicity that’s the main purpose of kit pvp. That’s literally what kit pvp is. If you want a fair fight go on a practice server and do duels all day.
