Why is it you can see builder applications but not staff applications?

I know player reports where recently made private so builder apps might become private soon and Im not saying staff apps should be public but I dont understand why one's private and the others public. So thoughts?

Staff application is a place for candidates to show why they are fit and why they want to be staff; some information they give in the application are personal, and I’ve seen people using something a candidate saying against them in a toxic manner. Every candidates should have a opportunities to freely express who they are and not be discouraged by anyone. Privating application allows candidates to apply freely.

builder are not staff which there is no need to be private and one reason is they will just copy the application from others players because there is like probaly over 50 applications and no staff just wanna look over all of them to see if it copy application or not.

honestly, because someone will laugh (maybe) because some people just trash talking or privacy because some people won't let players view their's application.
it will be answered after staff viewed and locked.

Like what people said before, I think builder apps are less personal and have less weight put on them. Staff apps are more serious and the questions are more loaded; on the other hand, builder apps are mostly just pictures of previous builds and knowledge on commands.

not saying you want to see it for malicious intent or anything but others will try to plagiarize what people say in hopes that they get accepted.

also others might try to be toxic about people’s applications, so it’s just best to keep them private

I think that would be a bad idea just because it invites toxicity and conflict between players and those submitting the appeals - I can't think of a reason a regular player would want to see appeals other than to make fun of the bad ones, which I understand is compelling but there's no need to create conflict where there doesn't have to be.
