I wouldn't say it's the whole community but I do certainly agree that there's a group of people with a whole superiority complex where they view you as inferior if your opinions, history or even pvp skill don't match theirs. I would not try to reason with these people, usually their central argument is that you are inferior and won't accept anything else so I just ignore them
This isn't very noticeable in game though, so what I say only applies to the forum imo
