Hi guys!

So i've been playing SkyBlock a lot lately (Corona crisis got me stuck at home after all) and I want to organise my first real event. So it'll take a while to plan this out but basically I want to create a giant maze. On top of the maze I want to build a series of cobblestone generators with pistons. After like 5 or 10 minutes the cobblestone generators are turned on and pistons will push newly generated blocks downwards. If you don't get out in time, you die.

Obviously this has two issues :
1) sometimes chests spawn in
2) It's difficult to keep track of all players inside of the maze

To solve this, I was considering downloading an Xray-pack. That way I should be able to see if chests spawn while tracking players without efford, right?

Now I know XRAY is not allowed for obvious reasons (on survival it can break the economy, in pvp you can see hiding players so that's an unfair advantage, etc). But if I use it in this way (and someone notices, it's fairly obvious after all) could that get me banned?

Just want to state that I have not been using xray, nor was I planning to use it in any way other than the one I just described.

Anyways, it's probably a stupid question that will be answered "yes" but I thought I'd ask either way :) !

I suppose that's true but you never know :'p I'm aware it doesn't get picked up by anti-cheat but someone might realise so I wanted to make sure that this specific situation wouldn't be against some rules :)
 
Homestly, I would just join the discord and hop in a support call and ask a mod directly about the situation. I'm pretty sure XRAY isn't bannable on skyblock but since invaded also has survival it might get you temp banned or something. the bannable part would be if you didn't inform them of the risk of death. It would be considered island warp trapping which is illegal I think

no i'll ask to enter without any stuff since mining will also not be allowed, so i'll warn them and all :) I am not planning on putting anything on the line for them. Just a fun event but thanks for the warning

Make sure to make the risk of death very clear and provide an ender chest for items.

An observationarea isn't an option. Basically the maze is not one I build by hand. The series of generators and pistons will create a huge solid block and i'll mine my way through so it's one with stairs and all that. That's the issue
 
You may be better off asking a staff member, if you're extremely lucky the staff member will be there and miiiight help you with the event but I wouldn't count on it.

xray isn't detectable by anticheat; punishments have to be manual, but since you put it on forums, you're gonna be on staff watchlist so gl

Edit: It doesn't matter what you're using it for, you will still get banned becasue it's considered an unfair advantage so I advise not xraying

xray is bannable whatever server its on. its still an unfair advantage.

on the watchlist for what ;p ? I'm not using it, if I was I wouldn't ask. I wasn't even sure if it could be detected ahaha. Anyways, I changed the event a little so that this problem was solved on a different way)
 
First of all killing players on a skyblock island us usually a big no no. Secondly, don't use xray. You'd be the first person to get banned for it on skyblock in forever.
