I used to spend most of my time playing video games, Minecraft being one of my favorites, but recently, I’ve developed a deep passion for writing stories and rhymes. I once wrote seven stories in a single day, and now, I’m working on a book. It’s funny how my obsession with writing started.
About a year and a half ago, I wanted to start a diary, but every time I got around to it, I’d forget by the next day. That habit slowly faded, and I drifted away from the idea. Then, a year ago, I decided to give it another shot and promised myself I would stick to it. To this day, I still write in it daily. But as time went on, I felt like something was missing. I just couldn’t figure out what.
Eventually, I tried writing an article, and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. I remembered how I used to push off essay assignments until the last minute, barely meeting the word count. Now, I find myself diving into essays, writing hundreds of words over the limit without even realizing it.
A month ago, I started writing every day and challenging myself with fun prompts, like creating stories based on a single word. And just a week ago, I finished writing my very first book! Now, I’m illustrating it myself. I don’t have enough money to print hundreds of copies, but I’ve decided to print ten. Wish me luck!
Honestly, writing is amazing, and I recommend it to anyone who’s bored. Even if you’re not thinking about writing long-term, just try it for a week or two. If you stay consistent, you might end up having a lot of fun. I’ve caught myself writing for seven hours straight without even noticing! Seriously, you should give it a shot. You never know where it might take you!

(I really should stop writing to push of other tasks...)
