Lack of activity on forums, such as blacklist appeals, ban appeals and mute appeals. Even a thread such as this one. It takes months to get your appeal accepted about your false ban.
This is just so untrue. Moderators and above handle guilty ban appeals usually within a day. Admins+ handle not guilty ban appeals usually before the weeks end. I can't remember the last time a ban appeal took "months" to be responded to, and keep in mind we get literally pages of ban appeals each and every day. We have lives as well, we can't spend the entire day doing ban appeals.
In regards to blacklist appeals, they were all just purged recently to make blacklist response times more efficient, and they have been so far. Blacklists are slightly more complicated in that they may take some more time to be responded to, however on a scale of a few days to a few weeks depending on the complexity. These take longer as well since only two people on the entire staff team can handle the majority blacklist appeals on top of ban appeals.
Why does it come every 6 months, please just give us fucking things to do on this server.
6 months for a full server reset sounds fine to me? Why would you want the entire server to be wiped more often than that when stats are reset every month.
There is a lack of things to do now, like on kit pvp, all you do the whole time is jump down, collect loot, die and repeat this cycle for hours.
That is literally what KitPvP is. We have features to try and make this cycle less repetitive, like player warps and events. Can you please give me some more examples of how you think we can improve the monotony of vanilla KitPvP? I'm not sure what more we can add.
The events get really boring, especially the long ones like brackets and sumo. Staff members have to put some of their creative ideas into the server.
I agree it can get boring waiting for your turn in large, time-consuming events like brackets and sumo, and we are currently trying to implement ways to improve the speed of them.
Lack of chat moderation. This player base is based on little kids who can barely click their mouse at 3 Cps waiting to get into one of Skeppy's videos. The chat is rarely moderated, people spamming stupid shit all the time and not getting muted.
This isn't true at all. KitPvP almost always has at least one moderator online in vanish, moderating the chat. It can be hard to punish every single person breaking a rule, especially if we are being flooded with messages/questions in chat. This is why we have the player reports section, so if there are no staff online/we missed a rule-breaker you may report them yourself and we will get to it as soon as possible.
I don't know about Zelkam and MegaPvP's activity on forums, because I haven't been on here for a while, but I can say it significantly less then others staff members. Same for in-game, they're like ghost. And I am pretty sure it's not because they are in vanish. They have the role of managers of the server, but what do they manage. Jack shit, all they do is troll their player base of 9 year olds. Basically what I am saying here is that you guys need to promote non OG staff members to manager because these two aren't helpful whatsoever when it comes to unfair punishments or reducing punishments.
This is not true either, from a staff-members perspective. Mega and Zelk are always online in vanish, to be expected as you can imaging the spam they would get if they unvanished for even just a second. You are not a staff member, you do not see the work the managers put in. Kobuto, Mega, and Zelk handle pages of blacklist and ban appeals within a matter of days as well as purchase supports and other aspects of the server mods and senior mods have no control over.
Finally PLEASE HIRE SOME MORE STAFF MEMBERS. They don't have to be english majors for **** sake, they just need to have experience and a high knowledge of the basics for running a Minecraft server and be able to prove it. You know what comes with more staff members, more updates, which leads to more activity.
Hiring new moderators isn't going to help with pushing out new updates, but we currently have staff applications open to hopefully hire some new people to improve our performance in regards to helping players, handle player reports, ban appeals, etc.
