After the implementation of an event timer to the Last Man Standing event has somewhat failed (instead of motivating people to fight, people still hide and no one wins the event), it has become clear that while the event has potential, it is fundamentally flawed. Right now I can't tell which is worse: a 30 minute LMS because everyone is hiding or teaming, or a short LMS where no one wins because everyone is hiding or teaming. I'm creating this thread as a way to brainstorm ideas for how to fix LMS so that people kill other players until there is 1 player left, as it should me.
Some of the ideas I've had are:
- Dropped Items: This would provide much more incentive to kill other players, as doing so would earn you more golden apples to use in future fights.
- Kill Leaderboard: This one is a little bit more far-fetched, but maybe similar to TDM, the top 3 or so killers in the event win an event key along with the last man standing. Obviously the game is called LMS for a reason and it would be weird to reward players who get a lot of kills but aren't the last player, but it would definitely motivate people to fight other players rather than camp until the timer runs out.
Feel free to let me know if you agree with my suggestions or if you think they are trash, and if you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!
