This probably a weird topic to come on to but I have recently been noticing these inequalities throughout the server between the "nons" and the "ranked" so I wanted to bring up a bit of maths and opinion.
I log at 7am EST onto the server (1pm Europe time) and here is what I notice:
Fifty two players are on. Yet if I look at the tab only seventeen of these seem to have ranks. That means that there is around 34% of the server at this time that is ranked and therefore 66% is what we ranked people and what general people would call a "non". Clearly "nons" have the majority in number and we see a lot more "nons" talking in the chat than ranked people. That doesn't stop an obvious separation between the two categories.
As far as I know from the big teams that are on this server (Team X, Simp Squad etc...) I have seen that none of these teams have a default in them. (I may be wrong for team X because it is so big but for Simp Squad I am sure and a few others to I am sure). Only our Team, Un-named Team has a default, Armzgramz.
By saying this I do not want to criticise any other teams for not having a "non" in their team, I am just pointing out one of these facts that clearly shocks me.
This demonstrates to the new people a sense that only ranked people can do well, make big builds, public farms, grind and get billions of dollars in game and I am hopeful and quite sure that this is an un-intentional message but Armzgramz was sharing his feelings with us about this and I had to note this down.
We see here that some ranked people (not going to say names) may not want defaults helping or working for them. Yet on our teal Armzgramz the default is literally no joke the best builder, engineer (I do outsmart him at spawner mechanics though but thats besides the point) and he contributes so much to our team. I am very shocked that other teams may not look the same way as we do at defaults.
To conclude this message, I think some sort of Minecraft "apartheid" is starting to form, the minority taking power only because of their "higher rank". I don't wanna be the one trying to do politics in Minecraft I just want to say that as ranked people, we should appreciate defaults at their value.
Of course, you may not agree with this message and I will gladly take comments, I just wanted to point out a fact that is clearly bothering me.
Wishing your eyes not to have died by the end of reading this!
