As a "member" of the hated community, I decided to make this thread to speak my thoughts about the staff seasons, newgens, and managment issues as well as the annoying creatures called Skeppy fans. I've noticed a lot of people are leaving, which I know I've only been on the forums for a short while, the names I see leaving were comfortable names that had value to the community that I hate to see go. I don't know everyone of course, just as they do not know me. There is still a level of respect there however.

Skeppy fans suck.

I'll say that.

"Hahaha ping spoof 14 thin crust 14 14 14 baldboyhalo."

And newgens probably feel like they're invading(lands) your home. Your community. And some of them are really toxic.

Some of them.

Once upon a time, you were a newgen too. Maybe you joined in 2017 and all the 2015 oldgens hated you. Maybe you weren't the 3rd player to ever join the server. Or maybe elsewhere, other than invaded, you became a newgen there because you weren't aware of the community then.

Please stop being mean to newgens and putting them all into one box.

Some of them are "14 pingspoofers" yeah, and some skeppy fans are toxic yeah, but this animosity against a new group of people isn't going to make things better or make it less toxic.

Newgens vs oldgens is toxic.

People make posts and the oldgens attack the newgens. Newgens act annoying to the oldgens.

But this wont change, and wake up and realize you're all apart of the problem too.

I apologize I wasn't on the server when it wasnt just about money and the players were important. I really wish i was apart of the community when it wasnt as toxic. Or you felt like more worthy people got staff.

But some newgens can help enforce the changes and bring new flavors to the servers. And its not the trainees fault that they were picked over your oldgen mate. Its clear however they have much skill and potential and they can become great staff one day.

Yes I am a skeppy fan. I am a newgen. I started playing minecraft in 2019 and my boyfriend taught me how to play. I started watching Skeppy in 2019 and eventually joined invaded. I am 16 years old. I have complex post traumatic stress disorder and I play minecraft and watch skeppy as a positive coping mechanism. I'm not a perfect player or the most sunshine player ever. I can be annoying too. But I can still point out how this is wrong. I do not enjoy to be lumped into one category. And i do not like to see new people get attacked under posts (not even anything to do with skeppy or anything). I've seen perfectly okay posts get bombarded with random or stfu or no one cares or newgens. You're part of the problem as well. The tension is on both sides.

I know I'm probably just going to be attacked for saying this, but that just proves the point.

We're not all bad people and we just want to be apart of the community like the rest of you. We're fed up with management just like you. We don't need to fight.

It's great that you're speaking your mind and all, but you don't speak for everyone nor is everything what you say correct.

The community has changed drastically since Skeppy blew up (and his server as well). Around 2017 the server would have less than 100 players on during after-school hours. The community was a lot closer to each other as the majority of people knew who everyone else was, and the new people didn't come in big groups of people spamming "skeppy 1414141414 potato ping spoof" and all of that. You can't compare newgens today to newgens back then as newgens back then were a much different thing.

Unfortunately, 9/10 times a newgen will usually turn out to be a "14 pingspoofer" which is why people always assume that about newgens whenever they join.

Yes it's toxic, I can agree with you on that (although I do find it funny when I see a 2019 newgen calling someone a newgen random).

I'm gonna be honest, the community (like many others over time) has changed. Some would agree for the better, but the majority agree that it's for the worse. People who have been here a while have seen many staff come and go, and have noticed a pattern in the ones that get demoted (hence why they don't like when people who fall into that same pattern get accepted for staff). It isn't about "worthiness," it's about having to watch as someone who clearly isn't fit for staff get the chance that others could have had.

I don't want to say that players are better fit to judge who is fit for staff, but they can give insight on a player as they interact with them more than staff normally do. It's a shame that staff applications went private as it makes two-facing one's way onto the team a lot easier.

....and quite possibly get demoted and end up helping players dupe items, leak sensitive information, grief discords after getting demoted, and shit talk the server on YouTube. See two posts above for the reasoning there.

While it's great that you're speaking up about this, there are two very important buttons on forums (ignore and report) and commands in game (/tpm and /ignore) that can make all of those things disappear for you. There are always going to be people who leave negative comments on posts, but there is simply nothing you can do about it to stop them if they have their minds made up at the time.

Not everything will be an attack; some things (like this) will include some feedback and other things that will help you better understand the situation, etc. You can ignore it and do whatever you want with it, but it's there for you regardless as I'm sure you would want to hear from the "other side" of this flame war. While I'm pretty outspoken on most of these things, this is how I feel about the situation and my reasoning behind not really "clicking" with the newgens. I've always been a pretty toxic guy, but I'm sure you've seen worse as I haven't really been saying as many rude things as I used to. Despite that, I always try to give valid reasoning (unlike the majority of both sides of any argument on here) as to why I say what I say, and I hope you understand that.

People will still find a reason to fight on here, it's pretty inevitable.

+1 agree with that a lot I joined summer of last year so I'm technically a new gen, but I'm not some Skeppy fan boy that just spams 14 all day. I joined because of Skeppy it stayed due to the community and people I met, I don't even like Skeppy that much. So yeah I agree I don't find I don't find it reasonable to label all the new gens as toxic Skeppy fanboys.

Couple of years ago some of these issues were non-existent. For example toxicity, if you played 2 years ago, mostly people were like 'gf or gg' after a fight etc. Now, if you're in a fight you just get messaged 'PCE RANDOM' or something like that.
