Firstly, this only affects people that are 150ms + so if you have lower ms than that and have a negative reaction to this post. just don't bother replying.

For higher ping players, there is a small issue that isn't really talked about because its the same excuse as *nvm I'm just way too laggy* But imp not entirely sure this statement is correct.

Rodding done properly is supposed to be a fast and easy way to knock a player away from you for a bit>
although this does happen with 200ms players, it happens at a slower rate and here are my reasons i believe this happens.

1) The average ping on invaded is around 85-90ms. When people with higher than 90ms (250 for an example)
it would take 160 more milliseconds for the rod to register. Now although it throws slower it actually travels slower than a normal rod.

What i think happens is that when you right click to initiate the rod throw, the first bit of momentum of the throw is cancelled because it takes 160 more milliseconds to register. so in the first 160ms, the game has already calculated the throw and throws it as if i threw it earlier when i didn't. overall it just makes rodding so cancer on here. (i don't expect this to be fixed but if it was it would be cool)

TLDR; If you have higher ping, the momentum of your rod gets slower

so u are saying when u got higher ping the rod takes more time at traveling.

Higher ping = slower rods.
Pretty sure that’s vanilla. But I think you can change it. Hypixel and Lunar has fast rods even with high ping

when lower ping players rod higher ping players it doesn't seem to do anything to them

due to 'ping' it obviously does slow your rods and hits etc due to u guessed it PING. U cannot change your ping or hits due to the location of the server and this cannot be changed at all (cannot be fixed) goodbye.

false, it can be changed, he isnt specifically talking about ping, yes there is obviously a delay with higher ping but void's point is that when people rod with high ping it actually TRAVELS slower, on some servers ive noticed that doesn't happen probably because the rods aren't completely vanilla and he's just suggesting that invaded should do the same
