This server is bad, here's why.

The funniest haha is the fact you basically gathered all of my threads and gathered all of them into this disrespectful mess.
Quick tip when making constructive feedback for the future, stay professional.
No one is going to take you seriously when you curse and disrespect on the staff team instead of doing it in a polite civil way.

all the arguing on this thread just shows how toxic and immature the person who made it is, the contents they are arguing about is completely irrelevant to the original "point" of this thread. it was already obvious how immature you were due to the fact you were hating on every staff except one but damn, you took it a step further.

All they're trying to do is prove me wrong, and I won't lose my stand for some 2 yr olds.

and also, you mod a server that barely has any other players besides 1pick's fanbase and the staff there.
Invadedlands started the same way bud. It used to be Skeppy's fanbase and the staff there as well. And yet it still is, just with a bigger fanbase. That goes for almost every youtubers server they create.

So I am staff on a server owned by 1pick, and lets just say we were able to do the same stuff Invadedlands can do, and more, in 2 MONTHS! This server has been up since 2015, and we were able to accomplish what they were able to do and more in 2 months, than they were able to in 5 years
I've checked out 1picks server and its def doing very well, but its important to remember a couple key differences.
Invaded has a relatively large playerbase, and so where smaller servers may be able to stop their servers to roll out updates, invaded usually waits until scheduled downtime. They also have tons of players reporting bugs. Their bug reports are constantly full of things that need to be fixed, and so much of neon's time goes to fixing bugs as well not rolling out updates.
They also receive a ton of applications, suggestions, questions, appeals, etc that staff members have to deal with. I agree it could be better, but they are all doing things behind the scenes and i think we just don't see it as much so it is easy to think they aren't doing anything.
In terms of updates and stuff I personally thing the best thing for them to do is hire a new Dev Trainee who can fix some of the simple things so neon can devote his time to the more complex stuff. Like 95% of the bug reports he does are all like config fixes or very simple java stuff that just about anyone could do, so I think they should look into something like that to give neon more time to roll out updates.
Also, I know you don't like the excuse that they all have lives but its true, most of them are in school and they are all doing this as volunteers.

Let's see these servers you're staffing on then. Amuse me. Also, you should have elaborated there.
Talking about past staff experience. You know this from 2 of our mutual servers I'd rather not name.
Conclusion: Staff is usually on because it's their job and they'd be demoted if they weren't doing their job.
Staff is unvanished some of the time, which prevents them from doing some mutes because of messages, etc.

Hypixel is doing just fine with scheduled downtimes. Hypixel STILL has random downtimes they never warn us about and none of their playerbase gets mad at them for doing that. They also repay people for the things they have lost due to their cause. Hypixel Skyblock got everyone their coins back after the map glitched and everyone fell into the void infinitely losing their coins every time.

There is a -s command. If you'd known that from your past staffing you'd know that isn't a problem when they aren't vanished.

No, she is probably in vanish most of the time. But shes so active it seems shes always out of it.

anyways interaction with the community is sometimes a good thing.

@Nicki @hamoka this thread should be locked. Might create a toxic debate
"Might create a toxic debate" yet you continue to argue. Shows a lot about your character.

it actually wasn't but ok
alright, but like don't look at how long people have been on the forums. i joined the server December 6th, two days before signing up on the forums. i didn't even know that this whole thing existed. there are people still not knowing about the forums (new players mostly). dates on the forum's profiles don't show the date you joined the server itself and the community via the chat in the servers. you can be a part of the community just by being online on the sever itself and communicating with the people online.

I have a different way of preaching then I guess. Some people think this is a very good post as well, other are indifferent. You have also cursed in yours.

???
Yes, they can do silent punishments while unvanished, but they still get noticed by players who start messaging for help and saying hi to the staff member.

If they get overwhelmed by this job then why aren't they resigning?

this is a highly valid point imo..

It's a bit hard to mute people when your chat is being flooded with "Hamoka screenie!" "Periys please sign my island!" "Lauren please tpa to me!" "Decay ban me for 1 second!" and so on. I can agree that sometimes they miss a few things while they are on but a lot of the times I can see how its hard to do it when their whole chat is being flooded. Not trying to be a suck up or anything but they mainly do their job, most of my reports are handled within an hour even if it's late at night and not many staff are up besides ones higher staff have had to look into.

Hypixel also has like 20+ full time paid developers and they have a network of servers so they can run a script to take some down at once while leaving others up, and they just move people between them. Invaded doesn't really have that capacity.

Yet again, I preach different. People vote for presidents that preach the way they like preached. Everyone has different views on a situation, it's just how the community reacts to it.

I don't think that it is hard to miss someone spamming their youtube link now is it :/ If I can notice it while staff are on everyone can.
